Urien's VT2 is FIREEEEE. They gotta draft this man into the NFL, cause them tackles! Though not as mixup heavy, I think this is a great and useful alternative to the Aegis Reflector, it's much more straightforward, looks hype, and still allows for crazy damage and long combos. I feel like we'll see a lot of use outta this one. Amazing job, Capcom!
Tbh I felt like it's a lot more even amongst them, thus equally valid choices then the supers in third strike. Like, there was absolutely NO reason use Temporal Thunder, and still little to use Tyrant Slaughter.
can use a medium or ex shoryuken to anti-air, then follow it up with this V trigger 2 shoryuken, then maybe use another shoryuken after landing for an extreme anti-air punish :D
As long as you can combo into it (not just in the activation) then at least it will add damage to combos. Its a bit boring though. Was hoping for more versatility.

You have to be up close for it to do anything, and Juri's pressure game is pretty weak. This thing just doesn't add up. Her turn ends fast, and due to her charge mechanic, she needs to retreat to regain her resources to maintain any pressure. Which means she's not in range for this to do anything. This thing really doesn't feel well thought out. If she had a plus on block EX move, it'd make some sense, but since she doesn't, it's just... what and why?

Just going off martial arts experience here, but the SFV animation looks much more believable than the SF3 one. Ryu would probably fall over from the impact with his form in SF3, due to leaning over at a 90 degree angle and the way he positions his arms, as well as the curvature of the kicking leg. In SFV, Ryu is much more upright, and brings his leg straight up before kicking (coils for power, better for balance, more energy efficient). He has the step in both games, but the SFV one is smaller and more practical. The SF3 one looks rad and fits in with the style of that game, but I don't see anything actually wrong with the SFV one. Just another example of martial arts animations having an inverse relationship with being true to real life and looking good on-screen.
The opponent gains meter from being hit, which Juri just steals back right away getting more meter. At most she can steal two bars in a single activation.
Stopping the meter gain isn't as good as letting them still get meter and allowing Juri to absorb it. She literally gets 1.5-2x as much meter as long as she's close to them and there's meter to absorb. Throwing them would stop the absorption most likely. Throwing, being in the air, either character knocked down, or critical art animation stops the drain.

19HajimeSaitou91 I disconnected from the servers at stage 97 but luckily enough I was able to beat Nash and chun li they gave me a lot of trouble before but ryu was pretty easy I had close to full health and attack 3 so I got lucky got the fight money and xp it let me sign bak in and claim the reward at the end of it so at least it doesn't mess up your run if you disconnected from the servers
I think Kolin's is a straight upgrade. The only reason I can think where I would prefer VT1 is versus Guile to get rid of multiple booms, when it comes to punishing single fireballs I think the faster vanity step will be better and the added neutral range is a bonus for her already strong hp and b.hk
IDEA: The playable base of street fighter, is the same as 27 years ago. That's good, but there are people who have been playing for 27 years and it's practically impossible or very difficult for newbies to compete. In order to make way for new generations you should create two leagues. the "Pro" league in which all the players currently playing SFV play with the same rules. And then create the "Amateur" league in which the combos are executed in a similar way to Marvel vs Capcom or even more easily, that by playing the same kick button several times, a kick combo is executed. People will say that I am crazy, but so newbies can enjoy this MASTERPIECE. Over time, many amateur league rookies will go to the Pro League. I am a great follower of Capcom and this comment I do to give you an idea which, you can make profitable. Thanks for your work!

After I saw Juri's v-trigger 2 in action, my disappointment was immeasurable and my day became ruined. At the very least, Ed's new v-trigger looks insanely good and fun. That alone will knock him up a few tiers I bet.
Looks like Ken's V trigger can't anti-air and barely even trade the guy playing can't even pull it off 1:48 - 1:53 . Are they going to update this before Arcade edition release are is this intentional?
Use his medium DP... you know, the one that's invincible to air attacks... It's definitely intentional. The mantra of the game is that every move has a purpose and they change things that aren't supposed to be used for it. Like AA jabs being removed. You're supposed to commit to what you do and if you do the wrong thing, you eat the consequences. That's why there are crush counters after blocked DP's, no more back jump os, etc.
There are a few new VTriggers that are really creative like Mika's and Akuma but why are there so many counters and new moves that characters should already have?

It's called Donkey kick because of how much you turn to do the kick. Now it's a very puny looking side kick.

Finally options that leave Alex close! Also Juri VT2 seems counter productive since you gain meter and the opponent as well as they are getting hit
The opponent gains meter from being hit, which Juri just steals back right away getting more meter. At most she can steal two bars in a single activation.
fianle I just feels like it should maybe stop their meter gain as well. Also does throwing them still take the meter?
Stopping the meter gain isn't as good as letting them still get meter and allowing Juri to absorb it. She literally gets 1.5-2x as much meter as long as she's close to them and there's meter to absorb.
Throwing them would stop the absorption most likely. Throwing, being in the air, either character knocked down, or critical art animation stops the drain.

I almost died in stage 87 Laura with no health network match saved me at 23 seconds left... That was very tough, glad it ended :'(
19HajimeSaitou91 I disconnected from the servers at stage 97 but luckily enough I was able to beat Nash and chun li they gave me a lot of trouble before but ryu was pretty easy I had close to full health and attack 3 so I got lucky got the fight money and xp it let me sign bak in and claim the reward at the end of it so at least it doesn't mess up your run if you disconnected from the servers

I think Kolin's is a straight upgrade. The only reason I can think where I would prefer VT1 is versus Guile to get rid of multiple booms, when it comes to punishing single fireballs I think the faster vanity step will be better and the added neutral range is a bonus for her already strong hp and b.hk
IDEA: The playable base of street fighter, is the same as 27 years ago. That's good, but there are people who have been playing for 27 years and it's practically impossible or very difficult for newbies to compete. In order to make way for new generations you should create two leagues. the "Pro" league in which all the players currently playing SFV play with the same rules. And then create the "Amateur" league in which the combos are executed in a similar way to Marvel vs Capcom or even more easily, that by playing the same kick button several times, a kick combo is executed. People will say that I am crazy, but so newbies can enjoy this MASTERPIECE. Over time, many amateur league rookies will go to the Pro League. I am a great follower of Capcom and this comment I do to give you an idea which, you can make profitable. Thanks for your work!

IDEA: La base jugable de street fighter, es la misma que hace 27 años. Eso es bueno, pero hay gente que lleva 27 años jugando y prácticamente imposible o muy dificil para que los novatos puedan competir. Para poder darle paso a las nuevas generaciones deberíais crear dos ligas. la liga "Pro" en la que jueguen todos los jugadores que actualmente juegan a SFV con las mismas reglas. Y luego crear la liga "Amateur" en la que los combos se ejecuten de una forma similar a la de Marvel vs Capcom o incluso más fácilmente, que tocando varias veces el mismo botón de patada, se ejecute un combo de patada. La gente dirá que estoy loco, pero así los novatos podrán disfrutar esta OBRA MAESTRA. Con el tiempo, muchos novatos de la liga amateur pasarán a la liga Pro. Soy gran seguidor de Capcom y este comentario lo hago para daros una idea la cual, podáis rentabilizar. Gracias por vuestro trabajo!
After I saw Juri's v-trigger 2 in action, my disappointment was immeasurable and my day became ruined. At the very least, Ed's new v-trigger looks insanely good and fun. That alone will knock him up a few tiers I bet.

Looks like Ken's V trigger can't anti-air and barely even trade the guy playing can't even pull it off 1:48 - 1:53 . Are they going to update this before Arcade edition release are is this intentional?
Why does he need his V-Trigger to be a good anti-air when he already has good anti-air options with DP? It's more of a combo extension than anything.
Use his medium DP... you know, the one that's invincible to air attacks... It's definitely intentional. The mantra of the game is that every move has a purpose and they change things that aren't supposed to be used for it. Like AA jabs being removed. You're supposed to commit to what you do and if you do the wrong thing, you eat the consequences. That's why there are crush counters after blocked DP's, no more back jump os, etc.

He wanted to show off that it didn't really function as an Anti-Air. It looks like a DP but it doesn't work like one. That's what I believe anyway.

Did they change the combo system of the game? The combos on display in this video are super sick looking.
Some attacks have been eased up in regards to juggles and then these are entirely new v-triggers allowing new combos.
Will there be character balance patches as well? (aka Juri buffs)

Awful like what? It works for me. Since Juri is close counter,it works great on her; it charges her and discharge her opponent.
There are a few new VTriggers that are really creative like Mika's and Akuma but why are there so many counters and new moves that characters should already have?
