My heart was in my mouth over and over again, but I should have known you were completely in control. I liked the 'bath-towel' sanding best I think. Cheers Pog, just terrific. As usual.
Between you and I, I felt the same mate 😂 Pretty nerve wracking at times especially when I'm parting it one handed. That's why I took it off the lathe and just hammered it out instead lol. Thanks for watching my friend, hope you're well!
The beginning looked promising but in the end it still became a bit cumbersome. No worries, I've never tried my hand on one of these. Still your method gave me an idea: Drilling a small hole at the edge of the inner circle after rounding out the first half. That should create a mark for where to aim for at the other side. One day, maybe I might be brave enough try it. 😎
Interesting turn mate, I was wondering if you were going to go all the way through and how you were going to do that. Love all the sanding methods used in this one as well…
Hi Tim, Great work mate and I really like what you did with the cracks. Either try and hide them or use them as you did to great effect. Take care mate. Cheers, Huw
This is a very well made wooden donut/torus . Compliments for that Tim. 👌 But what should a person do with a torus ring?🤔 I think it would be fun to make, but what can I tell my wife to do with it?😟 Take care! Frank.
Thanks Frank! I'm probably going to turn a base for it at some stage but it can be used for all sorts, one of my favourites at the moment is a novelty hat! 😃 If you turned a pair they can be worn on each wrist as resistance training weights lol. Thanks for watching mate! 😃

Interesting turn. Great idea to pyro the cracks.
Cheers John! Seemed like the next best thing to filling them with something. Thanks for watching mate :)
It looks like a glazed donut with a scratch mark from a dinosaur. I like the sanding technique too. Nicely done 👌
Haha thank you so much my friend 😀

Thrilling toroidal turning
Some lovely alliteration there! 😂Cheers bro!
Really like it Tim, have never turned a torus before, so in my eyes it looks pretty perfect to me!! Great turning my friend!!
Thanks Nik, glad you enjoyed it! Take care mate 😃
I'm not surprised when I saw claw's/tooth's marks on this donut 😁 Well done, Tim 👍😊
Cheers Rav, the marks were from the local wildlife fighting over it 😂 Thanks for watching mate!
@@tfturning Supermarkets are full of that wildlife 🤣🤣 Die or buy 😂🤪

Great projects
Thanks for watching!
Very nice, I really like ash grain,👍👍👍
Thank you Gao! Ash is a beautiful wood for sure. Also uncovering the little ripple in the grain on the edge was a very nice bonus 😃
Good looking donut man
Cheers dude 😁
Nicely done Tim, I made some xtra strong coffee yesterday that you could turn on the lathe. Goes great with the donut.💪
Coffee strong enough to lathe, I like the sound of that! haha.
Thanks for watching Bob! 😃

Thanks for watching! Drilling a small hole is a really good idea, I may use that method next time. Cheers.

Cheers mate! It took some thinking\working out, I can tell ya 😂
Thanks for watching!
Looking good Tim. You need to commit and make an Andy Phillips doughnut chuck!
Yeah, I think you might be right lol! Cheers Dave!

Cheers, Huw
Cheers Huw! That's the thing with faults and inclusions, make it a feature, far easier than trying to hide them! 😂Thanks for watching buddy!
Very nice one Tim and I think the burning adds to it as well
No Im not going to try this one
Cheers Woody! After the burning had begun I wasn't sure I liked it but once finished, I think it was the right choice. Thanks for watching mate!

Very cool! Is it just for art or are there things you can do with an ash donut that I don't know about, lol!
Cheers Grant!! There's a few other uses yeah, danger frisbee, arm band, novelty hat 😂
liked and subscribed
