I had this on tape. I cannot believe this is on UA-cam. My tape is in the same condition as this video is. Completely worn but still fun to watch. Childhood revived.
38 yrs old.. grandmother had this on tape with other Looney tunes cartoons. Not my fav but a good memory. Also had an itch in time... They'll be food around the corner! Food around the corner for me!
The old Betty Boop short, "The Old Man of the Mountain" always creeped me out for some reason when I was a kid. I don't even want to watch it now. Especially when he sang Minnie the Moocher.
the irony of the whole fire started that the building is supposed to be fireproof which is supposed to be false and the firemen way of getting fired down is funny
Like many others here, I watched this on one of those old public domain tapes and after thinking about it for a while, finally decided to look it up. Knew it would be here anyway.
Originally released as a "Screen Song" in September 1949. Animators Dave Tendlar and Martin Taras were working at the Terrytoons studio as directors a decade later.
Used to watch this when I was wee bitty. It’s been maybe 15 years now. We had it on a cd that was stuck in the cd player in the back of my mom’s early 2000s Tahoe.
I remember seeing this and "Toys Will Be Toys" back to back at a Little Caesar's in a Kmart where I live... can't believe I rediscovered these after all these years! (This would have been in 2014 roughly and it is what got me into jazz and old cartoons like these)
This unique cartoon that’s has sing along song also a good storyline that’s back ll up what’s kind is song on each cartoon yet few Voice actors sounds familiar like then the guy who voiced by Bluto in Popeyes cartoon or the voice actors who voiced all the voice actress who voiced all of this company owns these voice actors
This is literally a combination of the sound track from Max Fleischer's Gabby from the episode "Fire Cheese" and the antics of Burt Gillette's Rainbow Parade from the episode "Parrotville Fire Department".
LATE ONE NIGHT WHEN THE TSIPS WERE IN BED, OL SUL ROSS TOOK A LANTERN IN THE SHED WHEN THE AGGIE KICKED IT OVER, HE WINKED HIS EYE AND SAID THERE’LL BE A HOT TIME, IN AUSTIN, TONIGHT!

The rush of nostalgia literally took my breath away ❤
I hated this on Cartoon Classics as a child. But now that I've found all my childhood favorites, this is the last one I was searching for for months.

The little great ball of fire for a bouncing ball.
Unbelievable.
I fucking hated the little shit out of him too. He made me so pissed off when I saw this cartoon for nearly the 5th time.
I had a fever dream cause of this cartoon as a kid. It was me versus that little flame asshole.

6:39 was used as stock footage in a 1994 Burger King commercial.
So that's why it looked so familiar
I like the singing. They sounded good

Simitar Entertainment Presents Sing Along with Porky Pig
Herman the mouse was in a lot of these cartoons
The songs copy right is 1911. Look closely at the beginning where the title is. "A hot time in the old town tonight", copy right 1911.
@@johnbockelie3899 The song is certainly older than that.
As Seen on Matty's Funday Funnies
Not likely. The "Harveytoons" shown were from the 1950-'59 Paramount cartoon library.
