A United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party (TACP), refers to an individual or team of United States Air Force personnel with AFSC 1C4X1, who are aligned with a conventional United States Army or United States Marine Corps combat maneuver unit or to an Air Force, Army, Marine, or Navy special operations unit, to provide precision terminal attack guidance for close air support aircraft, artillery, and naval gunfire; establish and maintain command and control (C2) communications; and advise ground commanders on the best use of air power. German JTACs talk english though to Aircraft even if its a Mission or Training with just German forces so they get used to it and wont struggle too much in Combat working with allies.
I spent some time I Germany and they are taught English at a high level in school. If you want to be an airline pilot anywhere in the world you need to speak and understand English so it is not that unusual, but you are correct because you can’t make any mistakes calling in air strikes.
NATO requires air strikes that aren't being requested by the same country (eg French JTAC can requests fires form French aircraft in French) but two different nationalities need to speak in English.
God I could sleep listening to radio chatter. Nothing but memories.
They have 10 hr clips on UA-cam sometimes I cut them on just for the ambiance.
I like how the big German dude is explaining the difference between tanks to the American TAC. lol
And still the US does not care. We have the solution. Dead.
Well, I suppose it could be possible to disable a tank with mortars. It would be harassment fire at best.

@@mikejones6711 I know this is a little late but on AR style rifles you can't put them on safe when they are not charged/cocked. However, on the HK 416/417 you can engage the safety on when they are not charged.

@@inspectorseb2887 100% of CCT are SOF, they all fall under the command of the STS.
Most TACP ain't SOF since they fall under the command of the ASOS. But more TACP are being integrated into STS lately.
One funny thing is that most people think that PJs are SOF, but just like TACP, only those under the STS are considered SOF.
But all of these jobs are under the branch of AFSPECWAR.

What is the difference between CCT and TACP???
CCT's are part of AFSOC and work with other SOF units (SEALs, Rangers, SF, MARSOC ect.). They are certified air traffic controller and control airspace in their AO. They also find and setup landing zones for aircraft to land. TACP's mainly work with conventional Army and Marine units. They call for fires from aircraft, artillery and naval gunfire, similar to JTAC's.
Alek Ferna like what he said, TACP are not AFSOC but they can apply for the 17th STS and become a SF TACP. The 17th STS consists of JTAC TACP etc. the 17th stands side by side with the 75th Ranger Regiment and go by MOTO Rangers Lead The Way. CCT is already AFSOC
Thank you for showing us the new military technology on the battlefield which could definitely turn the tide of war in favor of the government. The U.S. Special Operations Command should better teach and guide our Philippine special forces on how to change the tide of war in favor of the Philippine government.

can anybody tell me of the Tacp officers get this kind of training, too? Even if its a little? Can they go to jump school?
Braulio Torres tacp officers go through the whole pipeline just like the enlisted do. They train side by side with each other the whole way here.

Sgtmacv Campos You most likely won’t need citizenship, however you will have to move to the US, and when you do, you need to contact a United States Air Force recruiter from the state that you live in to learn more information about the job and the process of getting into it.

Yup,if u make it thru the course. Air Force opened up battlefield airmen slots for females.
Negative. You can try, fail, then be discharged or reclassified to the needs of the air force (if you are lucky) but it will not be a MOS you want... If you really want to waste your, and the countries, time and money, go for it... You will never be a battlefield airman...Nor does ANYONE want you to be. Period. There are numerous other roles that a strong woman can fulfill...Look into 1A9 Special Missions Aviation if you think you have what it takes.
