    Combat Controllers (CCT) are ground combat forces specialized in a traditional pathfinder role while having a heavy emphasis on simultaneous air traffic control, fire support (via airstrikes, close air support and command, control, and communications in covert or austere environments.
    Pararescuemen (PJ) are the only Department of Defense specialty specifically trained and equipped to conduct conventional and unconventional personnel recovery operations. A PJ's primary function is as a personnel recovery specialist with emergency trauma medical capabilities in humanitarian and combat environments.
    Special Reconnaissance (SR) conduct long-range interdiction, surveillance and intelligence gathering. A subset of their responsibilities is to assess and interpret weather and environmental intelligence from forward-deployed locations, working alongside special operations forces.
    A United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party, commonly abbreviated TACP, is an individual or team of United States Air Force Special Warfare Airmen with AFSC 1Z3X1, who are aligned with conventional, Special Operation Forces, and Tier 1 combat maneuver units to provide precision terminal attack control and terminal attack guidance of U.S. and coalition fixed- and rotary-wing close air support aircraft, artillery, and naval gunfire; establish and maintain command and control (C2) communications; and advise ground commanders on the best use of air power.

    I find it awesome that 3 of the 4 USAF units listed are among the most highly trained units in the entire U.S. military.
    I expected the PJ's to have the highest wash out rate but surprisingly it's the CCT's.
    People/veterans often criticize the USAF for their posh lifestyle without taking into account the contributions of the branch in its entirety.

      Try strengthening your other areas to include joints. Lower back is going to get worked regardless, but slowly strengthening your areas will help your lower back pain. Also try icing, stretching your hips, hydrating well, and getting adequate amounts of recovery.

    So what’s the difference between cct and tacp? Everything seems the blend together

    • @LibertysetsquareJack
      @LibertysetsquareJack 3 роки тому +13

      TACP are by default attached to conventional units for conventional missions, unless the particular TACP tries for and passes a SOF TACP selection; CCT are all SOF by default, and are attached to SOF units. CCT get dive school and freefall as a standard portion of their pipeline, while TACP does not; CCT apprentice course includes demolition, small unit tactics, and other courses not in the TACP pipeline; CCTs are FAA qualified ATCs as standard, while TACPs are not; TACP primary tasking is CAS and calling indirect fires for the host unit, while the primary tasking of CCTs is airfield and/or LZ/DZ preparation and controlling of stacked aircraft tasked with landing, utilizing and/or protecting that airfield/LZ/DZ.

    • @Texasmayne89
      @Texasmayne89 2 роки тому +6

    • @knight6
      @knight6 2 роки тому +4

      @@Texasmayne89 generally true, TACP works with the conventional US Army units (and sometimes the USMC) and CCTs work with the Rangers, SEALs, Green Berets, and sometimes MARSOC/Force Recon etc. Sometimes there are some (very few) TACP that go through dive school, jump school, Ranger school, etc and can he assigned to the Special Operations units and CCTs can work with conventional units.

      from what I've watched/read the units they attach to don't have these guys up front breaching doors because they have guys dedicated to that stuff. the air forces guys usually stay in the back on missions and come up front when their role is needed. no reason to have your medic up front on a raid because if he gets hurt then everyone is fucked, same with cct, lose your ability to communicate with the planes and no more bombs to save your ass in a pinch. cqb is definitely not their bread and butter like the other units that focus a lot on cqb

    Funny to see these burly, big chested freedom fighters all loaded with kit and riding a dirt bike sized for a teenager. Ounces equal pounds I guess.

    How many A.F.S.F type's does it take to run State Government?
    None, they don't run for office.

      Do you know what you are talking about? All of the jobs depicted in this video train hard to be part of the battle as force multipliers. Many times they train harder than their Army/ Marine counterparts. They have to know the counterparts jobs and integrate their own skill sets to accomplish the missions. They are the military 911.
