Naomi Judd's daughters, Wynonna and Ashley, both broke down in tears during a ceremony to induct their late mother into the Country Music Hall of Fame - just 24 hours after her passing. She was 76. The pair cited a bible verse and lamented that Naomi Judd, who performed for years with Wynonna as 'The Judds,' hadn't lived to receive the honor herself. "I'm sorry that she couldn't hang on until today," Ashley told the audience. "Though my heart is broken I will continue to sing," Wynonna added.

I am very sorry for their mothers loss. This just made me cry for them. Noami Judd was a very beautiful, talented and caring women. May she rest peacefully. It was a big shock to find out that she had passed away. Depression and anxiety is an awful illness. My daughter has it and I watch her very closely.
To have to be so public at such a private time, phew, that takes a lot of strength. It’s a sad time for them and all the fans who loved their music. Kudos to both girls who also bravely reported on their mothers cause of death and brought death by Mental Illness out of the closet and confronted it. No secrets or whispering, it’s out there. My sincere condolences.

😞This breaks my heart. Ashley looks like her mom but Wynona is so so strong and so beautiful also. Their voices were great together but Wynona is a force of nature all in her own. Their performance at the CMT music awards is a testimony to her amazing voice.

We all only get one MOM and when her time comes it's heartbreaking, especially to those that truly love their MOMs. RIP Naomi your daughters, friends, and fans loved and truly will miss you.

The world is in shock. Tears of grief spill from my eyes and my heart hurts for the loss of the remarkable Naomi Judd, the sadness of Ashley and Wynona whose grief is palpable as the shock of their mother’s sudden death is realized. So terribly sad. I’m heartbroken.

It breaks my heart for her daughters. I can't be sad for Naomi, she is finally at peace. I hate that it has happened this way. She may have been just barley hanging on the last few years, but she went into the LORD'S hands. No more pain, no more tears, no more Depression, no more of that tiny piece of you saying all of the horrible things that are always there. No more guilt and no more fear. She is finally free and worshipping her Lord.

Everyone keeps commenting on Ashley's face that's not even important right now. I cried so long and so hard from my dad dieing and I didnt even look like myself. It's an indescribable feeling to lose someone so close. And knowing it was cuz they were struggling so bad is so much more to process then from natural causes such as old age or cancer your aware and almost have time to process it. Not with suicide tho. Most of the time we are just left with questions that will never be answered. And guilt that maybe we could of prevented it.
