- We catch up with AE Fisheries on his first fishery consultancy job of the 2024/25 season at Woodside Lakes, Patney near Devizes in Wiltshire. The match lake is being transformed into a carp fishing lake, but why won't those new fish grow? We reveal all in this day in the life of a fishery consultant style video. Let us know what you think!

I’ll do my best!
This video and explanation was fantastic, well done 👏🏻
Thank you! I try to make them simple for all to understand and follow 😁
How do I sign up?
A great watch as always Ben. 👍🤓
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
We have booked AE fisheries to do this work on our club water in Feb 2025
It’s so so worthwhile!
Great job guys.
Forgive my ignorance, but why the focus on carp? Will the fishery support other species?
Yes it will! And it does!
I changed feed to bp milling this year cause my fish stopped growing, they put in 5lb this year. Had our 1st 30
That’s what I like to hear! Keep me posted! 💪🏼👌🏻
Farmers make great fishery owners😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
100%
@@BPMillingWell I massively disagree with that statement. I think anglers make the better fishery owner.
@@trayvondiacost contraversial! We’ve worked with hundreds of fisheries, farmers are generally pretty consistent with the quality of fisheries because they understand the requirements and responsibilities of keeping livestock. Anglers seem to know what they want but without a realistic understanding of how it’s achieved. As an example most fisheries that can’t resist re-stocking regularly are the run by anglers, farmers understand that livestock need management and stock numbers need controlling to maintain health and progression.
@ How is it controversial? The owner of my Syndicate is a farmer. He’s done as little as possible the last couple of years and as a result had to to extensive work this year. He’s sacrificed the work to have 3-4 holidays a year using our syndicate fees. So no,Farmers don’t always make good fishery owners in comparison to anglers.
