The best type of vehicle is the one you get to use for its intended purpose. Good for him.
I love my run and drives as long as the breaks sort of work so does my riding companion the dog.
@@jhonditch4269 I’m looking to buy a Ford Highboy to restore soon 👀
@@gamvlogs9134 meanwhile I am looking for anything that will run drive and maybe have some breaks. my worn out summer shoes aren't so go in winter. they are probably the most valuable thing I have.
More normal cars please, I love seeing cars used for their intended purpose
precisely why I won't 't waste money on any antique something whose value is destroyed by just using it...especially when a new one is almost as fun! As long as you don't crash that classic muscle car at the track, for example, it still looks very nice. And I'd travel all over North America exploring the trails, which this guy doesn't do either.
I love seeing people use a car the way they are meant to be used and not worrying about having a concours restoration.
this is my favorite car/owner that's been appraised.
Love the fact that you did a video on a vehicle that was not perfect. It let's us know that it's okay and perfectly fine to have an older collector vehicle that gets used.
Thanks to both of you for keeping it real!! 😁
Broncos were never made for show cars they are what they are. Nice Bronco and I like to see them being used. Four by on Bronco Brother.
This Bronco is what a Bronco should be.
Perfect. Cheers 🇨🇦
That's my kind of Bronco owner. 100% restorations are neat to look at and I'm sure a great investment for those who are into that, but I prefer a Bronco- or a vintage Jeep, Scout, Land Rover, etc.. to be used- and taken care of. That's what they are for!
I love that it is imperfect but not completely destroyed. I wouldn't touch a thing until it starts to rust out.
In the current times of increasing driver automation and electrified propulsion, historic car preservation has to serve different goals.
There are concours keepers, which look at least as good as new and then there’s these. The abilities of old cars, especially off roaders and race-cars, need to be well understood, so we can know that the automative future does not inevitably mean progress.
yes I got a short term lease on a 2022 blazer I needed transportation it was a reasonable deal. there isn't much nice I can say about any of the "new and improved" features gonna patch up one of my foresters or the loyale and just be happy.
Perfect example of what a older car, classic car or truck, muscle car, etc etc can be. Something to be driven NOW and enjoyed. Way to many times have we seen a vehicle in this type of shape taken apart for “restoration” only to see it out of commission and sit for years and years. Meanwhile everything else starts to rot, leak, age to the point of a basket case. Keep it down to weekend projects, repairs and maintenance to keep it on the road. Why do so many people think they have to completely restore a vehicle in order to enjoy it.
I agree it’s a good working Bronco. Thanks for sharing!
One thing the appraiser didn't mention is the fact that the rear fenders were original uncut. Even though it's got the body lift and it's capable off road it's nice to have that look still.
My favorite thing is to buy classics heading to the junk yard. Fix them up but keep patina and than drive them till they need work again. Most my cars turn heads but I always say. It’s a drivers car so a scratch or dent wont make me mad. Enjoy what you own and than pass it on the best you can. 😊
My mother lived the last twenty years of her life in So Cal and back in the early nineties there was a mint 1966 Bronco for sale on someone’s front yard in Buena Park for 4 grand and I almost bought it and finally passed because I thought it was too much money, who knew that ICON would buy a good number of them up and prices would skyrocket to the insane amount they are today ..
Any perceived imperfections only make this Bronco more perfect. As others have written, it works, it does what it’s intended to do. Very cool, very nice. Thanks to the owner and Colin for sharing this, truly enjoy The Appraiser. ~ Chuck
like mom's 91 Loyale it can go places you shouldn't scuffed bumper pads show that it will get you where you need to go, even Barre Vermont in ice and snow.
Thanks Chuck! Appreciate you watching the show.
This somehow still looks really nice to me? Timeless design, good color, has a story to tell. Not councours but still beautiful.
Now that’s the perfect example of why cars are amazing
I love these appraisals. I usually get pretty close. I was at $40k on this one, and I'd spend that to own it.
Keep the vids coming, it's great!!
were the use chemicals on roads in winter is is best to wash the underbody to prevent rust belt miseries.
I would say if you have an expensive or classic car its best just to keep them off the salted roads.
Nice ride, sure can see that clean in Michigan, lol! Grew up with a buddy's dad (& him later) 71-72? With a 351, thought he got it new, but lots of dealers would mod & sell as new for a client... Great fun, good memories!! Thanx !
Sweet ride! 😍
Thank you for not cutting the quarters
No mention of the uncut rear fenders?
There’s a lot of value in fun. And in creating memories for your family.
This is the PERFECT build!!
Cool bronco, I’ve got a 1970 that’s the same color blue, mine has the cut rear fender and it’s been lifted 2.5 inches and I’ve put a soft top on with the door insert for the soft doors, I’ve had mine 27 years only paid $3400 for it in 1993
It is good to see a vehicle in use for fun and not something to sit in a garage somewhere or trailered to car shows.
Amazing car!
That definitely looks like a fun vehicle.
You gotta have fun. Looks like he had fun
Professional Driver. Closed Course. Broncos do not float. Not all Broncos are waterproof. No mud or water was harmed during the making of these clips. 😂
like the channel, but - Finally an everyday car for appraisal, not just rich guy cars
I have a 64 Scout that I maybe drive 100 miles a year. It has an older frame off restoration. I wanted to put Hagerty insurance on it but the paperwork said no off road use. I live in northern Michigan and it does get driven on two tracks and trails around camp. I definitely don't wheel it. Can I insure it with you?
Similar story to my '71
Fun to Fix, when was the last time you heard anyone say that?
Good for him, Bronco's don't belong on the Concourse. Now if it were me I would probably just buy a 15 year or so old wrangler to beat on.
Have there always been 20 freakin Cobra´s in the back and i never noticed?!?!
I think it has new suspension not a suspension lift. The body lift I don't know.
Crazy 55 grand.. not too long ago these were dirt cheap even if you bought a runner
I always prefered the bigger full size Bronco with the 351 engine. Or even the full size K5 chevy
anyone need a cobra
To me (especially a truck) you can always do a "frame off" it is RUST that is the true enemy, potentially ruining the originality.
50. Holy c
O.J Simpson would love this......
He'd kill for one. I've only seen one OJ era Bronco that's been modded for serious off-roading. Don't know why, I think they're a decent platform for doing it. If you can find one they would certainly be dirt cheap to buy.
@@jeffk464 ........😵
Thats not a Scout, thats just a car
on a camping trip I did see a scout or travelall rolled over by it's pop up trailer. that Bronco could get them both upright with just a little rigging and towed them both away.
😳😳😳😳😳
First viewer
First one to not care.
Nobody cares
Faults and bumps are okay but a rusty rear fake bumper is not.
OLD MAN RANT ALERT!! If lenders were left holding the bag when the people they give financing to on 20+ year old vehicles defaulted, these things wouldn't be valued at 1/3 of what they are. While cheaper to maintain than something just out of warranty, you can't just pull it into a dealer for repairs unless you want to get a laugh watching the kids try to find the OBD port. They take mechanics that know what they are doing with these classics to keep them reliable and they are dying off faster then the prices of these are rising.
He should repaint it in those colors because it's perfect, then wrap it with vinyl paint protection, refresh the interior, and at least make it nice and protect it with thick, clear vinyl so he can still really enjoy it however he wants.
no you missed the point he should just continue using it as he wants and do what he can when he car
Mostly he should focus on keeping the rust at bay. So long as you don't have body rot it can always be restored.
@Jhon Ditch No you missed the point because repainting it and working on it with his kids would take it from something they enjoy to something to something they enjoy that they have sweat equity in. Taking it from something they enjoy to something they love.
People who pay this much for broncos are just dummies. You could get a decent challenger or barracuda for 50k that isn't just a fad.
