  • An AMAZING must have plant to grow in the garden or to add to a succulent collection. Fast growing and also variegates and crest up freely. Very hardy, sun loving and frost tolerant.

    So I bought a variegated ghost and there’s no variegation on it. So should I put it in the sun or keep it in the shade to bring out the variegation?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK

    Was the point of the soil mix section to demonstrate they can grow in just about anything? Would love to see a video about your gutter-type containers - I think you’ve referred to them as top hats?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  3 роки тому

      Soil mix section is to demonstrate that they are not fussy with soil mix. The top hats are not planters. They're just there to hold the pots.

    Hi Liz, I have a question, hope you will reply. I have a leaf grown pachyohitum Oviferum and it is crested. It is nearly 1 yo , the plant is looking gorgeous, no problems at all, but what I noticed yesterday when repotting is that its roots are not "long" but very short instead, many but short. I wouldn't the plant to die on me, I only bottom water when completely dry and sometimes I use a product similar to your fertilizer with seaweed. What could I do to improve roots lenght? TIA

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  3 роки тому

      Oviferum have a main tap root with many fine roots. I'm assuming that your crested one will probably have a couple of main tap roots. If planted in a deep pot, the roots will go deep but only to the same height as the plant. If the plant is short, the tap roots will also be short or vice versa. Fertilizing with higher NPK will boost plant growth.

    • @maga7960
      @maga7960 3 роки тому

      @@GrowingSucculentswithLizK Thank you Liz for your reply. The plant is more wide than high. Its height is 3,5 cm,.... so probably just have to be patient. Very slow grower.....
