Always use Ctek trickle chargers and have been excellent.I make a point of always replacing the battery regularly rather than trying to get the last out of it-cost is soon forgotten and no hassle!

I have a 360 gated manual and don’t have the ability to use a trickle charger in the garage. I always disconnect the battery. There is no issue or problems doing this other than the ECU having to reset which could be a hiccup if you need a safety/emission inspection. But even then the car just needs to be driven around 50 highway miles at a constant speed of around 50mph to reprogram the ECU.

This content is great however need to change the presenter, the constant sniffing is really off putting.
