-Length: Long enough to coil into a cinnamon bun at least once and to wrap some hair around it.
My hair is 1a/1b F ii/iii (practically pin straight, fine-textured and in the upper half of the medium thickness category (9.8 cm ponytail diameter)), and mid-thigh length.
-Music: 'Lady Dillon' by Dordán.

Of all the bun making videos , this one is the best..in the sense there are step by step instructions on top of the video as you do..by reading them if we try there is no reason why it should not work.. The most intact bun i have ever made with just a bunstick..thanks much!!

Thanks 😊! And of course, all hairstyles and hair lengths are suitable for every gender, in my opinion 👍! Hair has been gendered for centuries, but it shouldn't be, really, so men can most definitely rock a flipped bun, for sure!

Brief summary!
✨Products: I wash my hair once to twice a week (every 4-5 days): Normal routine is shampoo (mostly herbal ingredients+SLS) + I henna my roots every two months. I apply liberal amounts of clear aloe vera gel to tame static and as a mild hairstlye fixator. I use dry shampoo on my roots in-between washes. Sporadical leave-ins: Tea rinses, sweet-almond oil /argan oil to the ends after heatless texture experiments especially.
✨Other: I brush morning and night with a gentle brushwith soft nylon bristles. I don't use combs, I prefer to finger detangle, and also use a Tangle Teezer to smooth down the hair after hairstyles, generally up to shoulder length only. I blow-dry up to shoulder length and I let the length air-dry while fingercombing it.

Apart from patience xD, I'd say protective styles (wearing updos), very gentle detangling, no heat tools, seasonal trims to maintain, hair treatments such as henna or cassia.

Sorry about the super late reply, I remember trying to reply to this comment a couple of years ago, but UA-cam somehow wouldn't let me post the reply for some reason, sorry :S 😅! Super belated response is that it's probably a mix of genetics and my haircare routine? I've always wanted to grow out my hair and keep it long, since I was little, and it grows pretty fast even though it's very fine-textured and more fragile than other hair types. I finger-detangle and try to avoid mechanical damage, don't use any heat tools (except for some blow-drying for the roots after washing my hair), and wear my hair up very often. It all does depend from head of hair to head of hair, but I believe that those factors (detangling gently, avoiding heat and avoiding mechanical damage) are important if the goal is to maintain long hair. Also the products that work best for one's scalp and hair. Feel free to ask more detailed questions, and sorry again for the delay in responding welp!

I don't think there should be a length limit for this style :S, although thickness might be an issue if your hair is too thick for it to be secure in this way, perhaps?

In the video I indicate the minute you can skip to in case you want to just see the steps for the bun :) Sometimes I cut straight to the chase, but sometimes I also like to show all the steps in case it's helpful or relaxing (ASMR style) for some people. Preparation is literally just one minute in this video, though xD

Hi! Very short hair would not work for most of these hairstyles, no, I'd say you'd need a length of at least probably mid-back for this kind of flipped bun...But that also depends on the style and the hair texture. With coarser hair you can achieve knots and updos that wouldn't be doable with longer hair of a finer texture, for example :)

I think this style could work with all hairtypes, disregardless of the thickness/texture/length, although it might look different depending on all those factors, of course. I personally use yarn parandas to get more thickness, I recommend that if you're looking for thicker styles :)
