I agree with #1 Ross I just got another bottle I can't live without it honestly!!! With chergui you have to try to find an older bottle with the black label they reformulated it and it smells very different now...I found mine on ebay pretty easily

I guess scent *really is* the strongest sense tied to memory
Reformulations is the worst aspect of spending a lot of money on fragrances . I have a sample of Herod which I think is from an older batch . The juice is dark yellow/orange and I can see your decant is so much lighter/clearer in colour . I get 12+ hours from my sample , how disappointing would it be for me to go and buy a full bottle only to realise it’s so much weaker .
@@ProfShamula Signature is very good. I have a sample. Just a warning, the apple pie, blueberry notes are very strong and last for a couple of hours. He’s right about the beast aspect. Two sprays are sufficient unless you want to blow people away. If you are not a fan of gourmands as fragrances, you may not like this. After a couple of hours, it settles down, the tobacco appears and this fragrance becomes marvelous. Compared to Tobacco Vanille, it is sweeter and less dry. I sprayed the back of my hand yesterday morning. 24 hours later, it’s still there.
I think showing decants is cool because it reminds us to try a fragrance out (especially the more pricey ones) before blind buying a bottle that you may regret later. Just my opinion though.
You should try one I just picked up. Kenneth Cole: Intensity it is a sweet tobacco and tonka bean dry down. It is subtle and sophisticated the way Kenneth Cole scents always seem.

Tobacco Reserve is my signature , got five bottles. I was put off by the opening at first too! Beautiful dry down and mostly performance ... I sprayed Aramis , Armani code Absolu & Gio Perfumo on test cards that day . Tobacco Reserve last 2 weeks on test card and changed the most. The other smelled linear and only last 3 days
Great list, man! Quite a few I haven't tried yet. I definitely would have thrown Dua's Black Widow on that list. It's such a wonderful scent. I also would've put Happyland's GIT a bit higher. Great, fresh tobacco frag!

No dolce gabbana the one? I just got my sample pack in from my fragrance sample of mancera. It has red tobacco in it. I got 5 10ml samples for 66 bucks, and they threw in 2 others.
Solid list, I have a decant for red tobacco and love it! Only reason I don’t have a full bottle is because I already have Herod and they’re pretty similar to my nose. Red Tobacco out performs it by a lot though

No Roja Enigma? Cool list. I might check out Shock and John Varvatos dark rebel. I have sample of Enigma and Herod, those are good but not a buy for me as it's purely about tobacco, the only other tobacco scents I've smelled or tried are DG the One, Versace Man (it's above average but I don't reach for it) and the Azzaro Wanted's (not my thing). Oh, let's not forget Versace the Dreamer. Smelled it on a card but not skin, seems interesting
I've gotta try a number of these out, but especially the Happy Lands, 18.21, and the Red Tabacco. 'Have to see what it's all about. My tobacco of choice so far is Daniel Josier's Ambre Tabac. REEEALLY good stuff. I wish Ross would do a review, I'd like to know his thoughts on it.
As someone who smokes cigars, I find the “tobacco” in most fragrances to be overly sweet, like awful flavored pipe tobacco shavings. Pure Havane for example, does not smell like a Cuban cigar at all, lit or unlit
Good list. To add a couple more that are inexpensive (I hate saying cheap) "honorable mentions" I'd pick Davidoff Zino and Bogart Pour Homme. They are probably not for the younger crowd but they work fine for the 30+ folks, IMHO. Again, great choices as I love tobacco frags and have a few that are on your list.
I really like Creation-E Parfum Cologne as a recent tobacco fragrance that's really good! Very masculine. The One EDP is still something I love as well. It works so well. Still does its thing even to this day! Fan Your Flames is one other I like a lot.

Interesting list that was pretty unique. Some fragrances that I haven't smelled yet and would like to try out, while at the same time leaving out some very classic, great tobacco scents (not even on the HM list),..... Tobacco Oud, Tobacco Vanille, Pure Havane, and D&C the One.
While I enjoy the occasional clone fragrance (especially when the OG is so expensive that I'd probably never justify the cost of picking it up), it always somewhat annoys me to see them included in a list, just out of respect for the artistry of the original. Great, unique list though.

Today I had a chance to smell Amouage Journey Man - great tobacco fragrance.
