I have been to Big Bend numerous times and never seen either of the houses you showed. I did get in the hot springs in the spring time. The temp. at night was below freezing and we scraped the frost off the windows of our vehicle before we drove to the springs. The hot spring was very nice. We stayed at Rio Grande Village which was nice.. We also crossed the river and went to the village of Boquillas, Mexico. Another trip we crossed at a town west of there and had lunch. This was before all the problems at the border.
Sounds like you’ve had some great times at Big Bend! I had hoped to go into Boquillas, but unfortunately I didn’t have my passport with me. I definitely hope to be able to go back some day though! I felt like I only scratched the surface even though I was there for 2 weeks.
