Agreed. They seem to think of children as a possession to show to the public. It's tragic for the children that the parents are telling them that whatever "gender" they "identify with" is what they are.
In my country, women pop singers and other publicly known women are usually married to less popular men that are unknown to the public and have kids with them, which is fine. One interesting thing that happens is when those two get divorced - the child custody usually goes to the father, not the mother. Now, I don't believe that's because they're considered incapable of raising their kids due to their careers or they treat them like accessories, they have all the tools and the will to raise their children properly (at least, most of them do) - which lead me to think about why does this happen. When it comes to divorce and the question of who should gain custody of the children in my country, the court decides to give custody to one of the parents considering the child's best interest - that's what our law regulates. One of those interests, that doesn't favor public figures is the childs right to privacy, which is imo, one of the more important interests a child should have. I also think that in itself is what's making public figures lose the battle for custody, it doesn't matter whether they're male or female. In all other cases, much like the rest of the world, the custody is mostly given to mothers while the father is the one paying for child support.

Hence the argument that one can be born one way, but you see yourself ("identify") as another. I only bring this up because I sometimes see people use the terms biological sex and gender interchangeably.
