    So Trump is telling his followers that they can go to a bank to get a car loan for a Porsche and tell them that they make a million dollars a month BUT if the bank believes you it’s on them. You can’t get away with that, Trump did and thinks it’s ok. Mind blowing

      Trump could because he's rich, like others that do that... And most the Rich unlike Trump have been living off government subsides for decades.

      When someone constantly walks around lying and grifting everyone around them, they lose touch with reality. So, as opposed to the Chump household and the current Republican Party, every where else in society deceitful/duplicitous actions are seen as signs of low character or integrity. They are rewarded in these subsets of groups and even praised for their ability to deceive, that contrast doesn’t register for them even in courtrooms.

    The estimate of $18 million the judge used came DIRECTLY from the county appraiser in Palm Beach. The judge did not come up with that figure. That's what Mar a Lago was worth when Trump lied on his bank loans

You need to listen to something more than the CNN's of the world to get real facts .If you listen to only 1 side you will favor that one side but listen to both and you might get a different look at what is really going on . Not that one is right all the time as none are .but none are wrong all the time either. • @oasntet
      @oasntet 11 місяців тому +54

      Annoyingly, no. Most jurisdictions have an assessed rate and a market rate, and you pay taxes on the assessed rate. The market rate can be completely unrelated, but that's the rate you'd claim if you wanted to use your property for collateral for business loans.
      I'm amazed he didn't use the same property as collateral for multiple loans. That seems like the most obvious scam to run, but maybe he's got some advisor actually smart enough to explain how easy it is to get caught doing that...

      Not to give Don Jr. any credit, especially given his crappy attitude about the deposition, but that answer about GAAP is what almost anyone who isn't either actively in business school or a current accountant/former accountant would tell you about GAAP. I absolutely studied it in school, but I 100% remember nothing about it off the top of my head. Unless you have some reason to actively retain that information, you're not going to, and in the Trump's case they've got enough accountants they work with to not need to remember anything about GAAP personally.
