We did not see any Golden Eagles. However, we did see several Bald Eagles. There is a very strong population of them on the river. There are some wood ducks, but we've actually seen more on our rivers within the Appellation area.
Of that we are certain, we hope to return and run that section at optimum levels. The upper section, thus far, has been our favorite portion of the GB. Isolated and pristine. If you have an opportunity, we would like to hear about your experience on the lower section. Stay safe!
@@armedwithfreedom5347 due to the high water levels, we did blow right by the BBQ restaurant we were shooting for; I believe around Alderson... There was a significant set of rapids right at the pull out point.
That is a big trip. Well done

The perks to having those bulkhead kept ya a float iam assuming
That and spray skirts when necessary 👌
Spray skirts are a must with the wilderness kayaks, water always comes across the front of them in rapids.
@@TheWayne660 Absolute fact!!
What you do with kayaks when ya go eat just hope know one steals em and leave em by river
Usually, one of us stays with the boats. Depends on the location really.

Nice video. Enjoyed it. Who did y’all use for shuttle?
We had the help of a friend, who was local to the area. There are services, we’ve just not had to utilize them as of yet.
At a higher level you missed out on so much more
