  • Again, we venture into less than desirable conditions to experience the adventure and test our limits. Our intent, is to bring you along and share our journey. Although....to be there, was to be immersed in cold and appreciate what we as human beings may take for granted on so many levels. We hope you enjoy it!

    Spectacular footage!! There’s an indescribable beauty in the starkness of the river and mountains in winter, the way snow defines rock facings and mountain slopes, in the way the snow dusted river banks frame the clear, green flow of the water. Just magnificent!! Great video Brian!!

      Thank you so very much Rob! Yes, it was spectacular. That river is certainly a unique experience. Your observation and words you use to describe it are spot on!

    Great video! Spectacular footage! Brenda's Stratos looks perfect for her! How did she like it? And how did you like the Yukon?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  2 роки тому +1

      She loves her Stratos and the Yukon was incredibly maneuverable and responsive. Ran the final 20 plus miles without a rudder.

    Planning this trip next month. Good to see the river not long before the trip. Got any recommended spots to take a break or camp? There are spots all along the Greenbrier River Trail.

      We camped on the Islands. Most are visible on Google Earth for planning logistics. Until the lower section, rapids are mostly class I and II. Absolutely beautiful run! Thanks for watching!

      @@AVAJourneys thanks! My wife and I watched your other journeys along the upper and lower. It's definitely helped with planning. What was the gauge height on this trip? I remember 3.8ft on the other trip looked pretty good. We'll be going Marlinton to Caldwell. We enjoy the hammock camping style as well. Your videos have been my go-to reference for this river.

      @@danielvia8705 Again, thank you! That section of the river, we have learned, is usually runnable year around. The upper from Durbin, is definitely seasonal. Best run in the spring.

      Interesting, we've looked into it. So many awesome rivers. We'll be heading to the Midwest for another river, end of this month.
