KiNK on fire as usual! Not sure what I think about the sound of the DR 2 yet, but it's great to have more options for sure. The drum machine market was very limited until recently, so every new take on drums is welcome!
Super skeptical until I actually listened on studio monitors. Sounds incredible to me, the flexibility of a machinedrum but with the sound of an original Roland analog. Yeah the price hurts but I do think this is the evolution I've been waiting for.
good luck getting that level of performance control over a volca drum (although I prefer the sounds the volca drum spits out to what I'm hearing in these demo jams)
With that price i take an alpha base and an overlord overdrive and blow my speakers off the walls. This sounds like a drumbrute only thinner. But im sure is the shitty not serious for such expensive drum machine demo as i have a soft spot in my heart for modor. Send this to headless horseman im sure he will tune the s out of it in 3 mins on a proper demo
The biggest mistake with these demos .....Dont just play one style.....terrible demo. And over priced...Sorry just my opinion let dome others test it fir six months and make proper demos.
Seriously. This machine is very capable of deep sound design. Have someone go through all of the various "machines" and modulate the various parameters to show what it's actually capable of. I hate to say it, but the type of people who would be buying for $2000 this are NOT going to be into what this guy's playing. They will definitely be into more esoteric beat programming and sound design.
Looks cool, seems fun and functional, kudos to kink, and fu to all the “mediocre”, dudes jammin, on a new kit, lol chill. But the price is just stupid...functionally, this is less tha n a third of mdsps1mk2 made over 10 yrs ago....

Its actually a capable instrument , the demo itself is ultra mediocre
