NOTE: Four stories were left out during the editing process including the short Pistol Pete story. We’ll put those stories in another video here very soon and name it The Fat Joe Story deleted scenes. NOTE 2-Ryan is not the birth son of Lorena. Thank you 💜

Because Puerto ricans are from a country made of 3 races...black, Spanish, and native. The original "puerto ricans" were natives tho...the Taino. So yeah...that's probably why...I'm native and I get mistaken for a Puerto Rican sometimes...lots of black Ricans tho! Shout out to my Puerto Rican's! ❤

One of the greatest Hip~Hop/ Rap/Hood/Streets/Gangsta and from slum to rich then rich and fall and lastly a big change and come back story of someone who was a unwanted child/rasied as a black wolf/red headed step child, discriminated and assaulted because of his race and ethnicity. He almost gave up but did a 180* come about and dug within his will to never give up no matter what for the rest of his life. The narrator and production is unbelievablely spectacular and riveting. Just like a really great book or movie that you don't want to be distracted or disturbed because of it's effective description and details that draws and demands your total attention, focus and time as a must watch. Especially for it not being a big station, channel or media outlet, makes it even more official, gives it a more raw and realness to it because it's discriptively grittiness of someone's journey thru their realities in life.

Joe's personal drops were never on the same level as the east coast heavyweights but his cultural significance from his music spilled over into the sneaker game/fashion/ball/anything and everything hiphop hood related. Bro was constantly the next new cultural collaboration... but often it was just with Joe's old & new self 😂

I used to see Joe in his shearling rocking truck jewelry in the clubs like Emerald City, Octagon, Palladium. Saw him outside Home Base and remember him chilling by the museum steps on 5th Ave in 1992 at the PR parade. That’s when I noticed the buck 50 he’s got on the back of his neck. Last time I seen him he was outside a recording studio on 33rd st in 2007.

Nicely done. It is obvious, in putting together this piece you got a hold of some old actual photos and seems that the beginning of Fat Joe’s story was either witnessed or told to u by people close to Joe. I understand needing to protect sources, but how did u glean so much insight? If it was all done through research I must say Bravo! The only suggestion I have is that n the last chapter while doing a sum of the later parts of Joe’s life and career that are already public, I would refrain from commenting on people’s feelings and motivations. I am not picking on you. It is a trend I have noticed for years and in this piece there seemed to be very little. That is the reason I even say anything about it. You are obviously talented and refrained from making assumptions about others in previous chapters. It seems these days people take for granted assumptions on people’s intentions. I feel it is very important in storytelling, if one presents something as non fiction, then reporting the what when where and how is fair game. I must say u do that well. My problem with reporting, writing, storytelling or any other way information on other people is presented, the presenter all too often adds in their version of the why in the story and labels the work non fiction. Unless the presenter has direct knowledge or the subject has been quoted directly, these “why” comments should be qualified as opinion not told as they were fact. Ok I will step down off the “when I was young” soapbox and stop shaking my finger …lol. I also would like to say our society needs more of the advice which u wrap up your documentary. Hard work, loyalty and perseverance are essential to success. Again nicely done !
