Thank you for your comment Stavros! That’s the reason I decided to stay here for a few extra months. Not ready to move back to the pace of a big city 😅
Very nice video for an underestimated kite spot and a very beautiful small city in Greece. I am greek i go every year there. This year i wasnt lucky i was during a heatwave the wind was low and the direction was eastern while the normal thermal is West direction. When Eastern winds there is another small kitespot before Antirio. For Drepano if not in hurry you can go by boat which is half price coz the bridge tolls are really crazy. Also there is another option to visit Dioni after Messologgi a well known spot for both flat and choppy conditions. Approximately 80km frm Nafpaktos but worth the trip. Accomodation with great views best place in Ano Platanitis just 5km frm Nafpaktos VenetiKo Villas. Great Food also in Ligias a small village almost connected to Nafpaktos
These are some great tips! Thanks for sharing your experience! The small spot you talk about is probably the one opposite the bakery of Kondyli right? I hope I will be able to finish two more small videos for Drepano and Dioni accordingly 🤘
@@JustGoKitesurfing exactly! For eastern winds. The beach is disaster coz the swell brings tons of wooden branches that cover everything 😭. Looking forward to Dioni video. Lovely place
I just replied to you in the other video so hopefully it will give you some nice ideas on where to travel! The kiteseason in Greece is more or less April until end of September! Islands have the Meltemi and mainland has thermal winds.
Athens international airport would be the best choice. Renting a car from there wouldn’t cost you more than €35 per day outside the high season. By car you will need 2:45 minutes to Nafpaktos;) Season is about to start in April 🤘🤩
😂😂😂 sounds like you’ve never visited the place. Dirty it can be during off season but the local community puts a humongous effort to clean up for the season. Rocky? Gusty?? Where did you see this? The wind is the most stable you will ever find. Looks to me like your purpose here is to promote Sardinia. That’s ok 👌 Share a link with us to a video. Show us how great kiteboarding is at your local paradise. It would be great to visit Sardinia. The intention here is not to compare but show the kite community options for an amazing kite trip. I stayed in Nafpaktos for a year and for me it was a paradise.
@@JustGoKitesurfing Not promoting anything. I have just been kiting & traveling full time for the last 15 years. Been in Nafpaktos several times. The beach is definitely no highlight, people camping there leave lots of trash behind, the pebble rock beach is not good for kites and yes the wind is VERY gusty. Drepano was nice but always very crowded and I would prefer Punta Trettu or Neretva. See you around. Cheers!
@@Nilz4FR promoting was a heavy word I agree :) The trash is left by the Gypsies. They find this corner as an easy way to discard their trash. My experience after a year kiting in the area is very different. I had maybe 2-3 gusty sessions in a year. Keep traveling and sharing cool spots to visit. Any specific spot in Sardinia?
I’m from NY and go every summer for 2 months! Great place to disappear to and forget the crazy and bad life of NYC. Great video.

That's my 2nd home.. I love Nafpaktos very much.. miss my little beautiful town.

Thank you for your comments! Very much appreciated 🙏
How much wind we talking here? 20 knots minimum?
The worst low wind days you can expect 16 knots. The normal average wind is 18-22 knots.
What airport should we fly to?

@@JustGoKitesurfing thanks, some time in the future we will definitely be traveling to this place!
Kitesurfing for 15yrs.... kitespot ? Have to go to a kitespot !? .... 1 you need the kit... . 2 a Beach with lots of space 3 on shore wind.... .
It is wether hidden nor paradise - it is dirty, the rocky beach is no good for your kites and the wind is very gusty. No chance against Sardinia!
