Hello. Greetings and respect to cat lovers from all around the world, from Istanbul. In this comment, I would like to answer the most frequently asked questions. Approximately five years ago, we built our first cat house in this area. The cat houses I disassembled today were built five years ago. Don’t be deceived by the fact that I placed them near the garbage dump. All the disassembled cat houses have been recycled by installing new roofs and disinfecting them. No cat house was thrown away. Only the roofs, which started to decay after five years, were replaced. For years, I have built countless cat houses in this area and shared videos of them, but none of these videos were watched by people. However, when I shared a video of a man disassembling cat houses, it got views. This is truly a strange and fascinating world. There are thousands, even tens of thousands of stray cats living in this area. This area represents just 1% of Istanbul’s coastline. If I don’t build cat houses here, these cats will continue to live in the same area, even among the rocks. You can watch the challenging living conditions of cats in areas without cat houses in our other videos on this channel. I want to emphasize this specifically: NONE OF THE CAT HOUSES WE HAVE BUILT OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS WERE DESTROYED OR DAMAGED. Also, this is not an ocean. It is the Sea of Marmara, an inland sea. The strength of the waves here is not enough to destroy the cat houses I build. Moving the cat houses to any green area outside the rocks is prohibited because municipalities and people don’t allow it. During extraordinary storms or waves, we move the cat houses to a green area temporarily until the bad weather conditions subside. During such times, there’s not a single person outside to complain because they stay indoors. As for the issue of spaying and neutering the cats, every month, within the capacity of our channel, we spay and neuter stray cats. Additionally, municipal veterinary services provide free spaying and treatment for stray cats. However, the number of cats abandoned in these areas by people exceeds the number of spayed cats, which is why the cat population continues to grow day by day. I think he is one of a few people who has put them up so again I knew if he was "destroying" the houses he was either putting new ones up or fixing them. Hello Lillian, The cat houses I destroyed were the very first ones we built. They managed to withstand even the harshest weather conditions for four winters. I only recorded a video while breaking the roof of one of them with a stone. None of them were thrown away. They will be recycled by me. Even the cat house near the trash will be recycled again. Only some of the roofs were discarded because no material, no matter what, can remain completely waterproof after four years. Over time, they started leaking and rotted. I replaced all of them with brand-new original roofs. There is no damage to the cat houses that are 2 or 3 years old. Everything is fine. Wishing you a Merry Christmas!♥️♥️♥️

Le problème de la paille, c’est que ça s’humidifie et pourrie, surtout avec l’air marin. Ce serait la même chose en terme d’humidité, avec un tapis, une moquette ou autre. Cet homme connaît son affaire 👍🏼.
@RackadLeRouge It is hay that absorbs moisture and rots. Straw repels moisture and stays dry, which is why it is the preferable insulating material. I have used straw in my cat houses for many years and it stays dry, never rots.

A Istanbul è così, io ho la mia sorella sposata lì da quasi 30 anni. Trova i gatti malandati per la strada, li porta dal veterinario, li cura, a sue spese, se c'è bisogno continua le cure acasa sua e poi li lascia liberi. Perché i gatti sono dappertutto in Istanbul, liberi, anche nei negozi. Purtroppo non si possono costruire le casette sul territorio della città perché appartiene al comune. Però dopo come si vede nei vari video, si possono costruire sul lungo mare perché il lungo mare appartiene alla gente. Qualcosa del genere, non so se ho capito bene. Comunque la mi sorella ha già adottato 3 gatti. Io qua in Italia, ho 2 gatte trovate per la strada e oramai adottate, stanno acasa mia. Quella grande di 17 anni ha la su stanza quella giovane dorme nel lettone con noi ,no che li mancano le cuccette. E in più, il mio compagno porta cibo ad una colonia di gatti che c'è nelle vicinanze, tutti i giorni. Se tutti noi facessimo qualcosa, sarebbe un mondo migliore, più bello, perché nel mondo c'è posto per tutti. E ognuno di noi, esseri umani o animali, abbiamo il diritto di avere una casa e un po di affetto. 🐱🐱🐾❤️🤷♀️😊 Comunque bravo Onur, bravissimo, complimenti a te e alla tua famiglia, per tutto quello che fatte per i gattini di Istanbul. Non mi sorprende il gesto, i cittadini turchi sono brave persone, generose e con un grande cuore. Almeno il mio cognato è così.
@rodicaungureanu-pe3iy Ti capisco al 💯 perché ho fatto per anni la volontaria in un gattile, ho portato aiuto e un po' di consolazione a quegli esseri meravigliosi, ho donato soldi all' associazione per quanto ho potuto. Il comune però non fa altrettanto anzi minacciava di fare chiudere il rifugio perché dava fastidio alle poche abitazioni della zona, la direttrice e alcuni volontari si incatenarono davanti al gattile in segno di protesta davanti a gli sguardi freddi degli incaricati dal comune una cosa triste credimi. A me sembra che qui in Italia siamo un Pochettino indietro a mentalità e soprattutto come persone a volte amorevoli, ci vuole il buonsenso e la voglia di comunità e qui invece guardano solo al suo orticello e a cosa disturba soprattutto verso gli animali, non insegnano il rispetto e l' amore verso questi piccoli fratelli anzi a volte vengono maltrattati ingiustamente da certi giovani... insomma quando vedo persone come quest' uomo mi si apre il cuore perché vedo uno spiraglio un soffio rinnovatore di amore e calore immenso e allora dico menomale ci sono persone buone col bene nel cuore ❤️ io ho due gatti adottati dal rifugio e uno c'è l' ha mia mamma diabetico. Il mio invece non lo volevano perché gli manca un occhietto, senti a che livelli l' avevano preso poi lui si nascose dalla paura di un nuovo ambiente e l' avevano riportato il giorno dopo in gattile dicendo che era un gatto difficile e ingrato😥 poi l'ho portato a casa io è un compagno affettuoso e riempie la nostra casa con gioia, noi lo amiamo immensamente e ringrazio Dio per avermi dato la possibilità di tanto amore tanta compassione nel mio cuore. Un forte abbraccio amico ❤️🙏❤️😺

Thank you, Onur for caring for so many stray cats. Can you put straw in the houses for warmth and as a cushion? It stays dry better than pillows or blankets made from fabrics. If some kind farmer would donate some to the cats, it would help so much. 😺❤❤❤❤❤. Best holiday wishes to you and your family.
Le problème de la paille, c’est que ça s’humidifie et pourrie, surtout avec l’air marin. Ce serait la même chose en terme d’humidité, avec un tapis, une moquette ou autre.

@RackadLeRouge It is hay that absorbs moisture and rots. Straw repels moisture and stays dry, which is why it is the preferable insulating material. I have used straw in my cat houses for many years and it stays dry, never rots.

A Istanbul è così, io ho la mia sorella sposata lì da quasi 30 anni. Trova i gatti malandati per la strada, li porta dal veterinario, li cura, a sue spese, se c'è bisogno continua le cure acasa sua e poi li lascia liberi. Perché i gatti sono dappertutto in Istanbul, liberi, anche nei negozi. Purtroppo non si possono costruire le casette sul territorio della città perché appartiene al comune. Però dopo come si vede nei vari video, si possono costruire sul lungo mare perché il lungo mare appartiene alla gente. Qualcosa del genere, non so se ho capito bene. Comunque la mi sorella ha già adottato 3 gatti. Io qua in Italia, ho 2 gatte trovate per la strada e oramai adottate, stanno acasa mia. Quella grande di 17 anni ha la su stanza quella giovane dorme nel lettone con noi ,no che li mancano le cuccette. E in più, il mio compagno porta cibo ad una colonia di gatti che c'è nelle vicinanze, tutti i giorni. Se tutti noi facessimo qualcosa, sarebbe un mondo migliore, più bello, perché nel mondo c'è posto per tutti. E ognuno di noi, esseri umani o animali, abbiamo il diritto di avere una casa e un po di affetto. 🐱🐱🐾❤️🤷♀️😊 Comunque bravo Onur, bravissimo, complimenti a te e alla tua famiglia, per tutto quello che fatte per i gattini di Istanbul. Non mi sorprende il gesto, i cittadini turchi sono brave persone, generose e con un grande cuore. Almeno il mio cognato è così.
@rodicaungureanu-pe3iy Ti capisco al 💯 perché ho fatto per anni la volontaria in un gattile, ho portato aiuto e un po' di consolazione a quegli esseri meravigliosi, ho donato soldi all' associazione per quanto ho potuto. Il comune però non fa altrettanto anzi minacciava di fare chiudere il rifugio perché dava fastidio alle poche abitazioni della zona, la direttrice e alcuni volontari si incatenarono davanti al gattile in segno di protesta davanti a gli sguardi freddi degli incaricati dal comune una cosa triste credimi. A me sembra che qui in Italia siamo un Pochettino indietro a mentalità e soprattutto come persone a volte amorevoli, ci vuole il buonsenso e la voglia di comunità e qui invece guardano solo al suo orticello e a cosa disturba soprattutto verso gli animali, non insegnano il rispetto e l' amore verso questi piccoli fratelli anzi a volte vengono maltrattati ingiustamente da certi giovani... insomma quando vedo persone come quest' uomo mi si apre il cuore perché vedo uno spiraglio un soffio rinnovatore di amore e calore immenso e allora dico menomale ci sono persone buone col bene nel cuore ❤️ io ho due gatti adottati dal rifugio e uno c'è l' ha mia mamma diabetico. Il mio invece non lo volevano perché gli manca un occhietto, senti a che livelli l' avevano preso poi lui si nascose dalla paura di un nuovo ambiente e l' avevano riportato il giorno dopo in gattile dicendo che era un gatto difficile e ingrato😥 poi l'ho portato a casa io è un compagno affettuoso e riempie la nostra casa con gioia, noi lo amiamo immensamente e ringrazio Dio per avermi dato la possibilità di tanto amore tanta compassione nel mio cuore. Un forte abbraccio amico ❤️🙏❤️😺

Wow, thank you for helping them to this extreme! We all need to do what we can to help animals. From becoming vegan to feeding and caring for them when they are helpless. Every little bit helps. This is far from a perfect world. For us who share their world with them, it's a daily struggle, but the reward of feeding them and watching them eat when they're hungry, is priceless!
