- PART 1 - Many Units from Merseyside Police including Undercover Matrix, Roads Policing and Armed Police are seen responding urgently to an assistance call in Liverpool yesterday, possibly an officer down. Also included in the compilation are multiple other Police cars responding, Fire Engines from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, fearuring the BRAND NEW pump, and Ambulances from the North West Ambulance Service.

Drove past a massive fire in Merseyside today, 6 fire engines and police cars everywhere.
That first Skoda needs more lights, I could hardly see those small flashers in the windscreen

Why the two Mercedes police vans painted ambo yellow in the beginning of the clip? Are they the only exception in the Merseyside police? This colour scheme will confuse other road users. I see someone asked similar question below, but no satisfactory answers yet.

Mates I live in merseyside trust me it is not a safe place to be. Since covid and all the lockdowns it's a bloody horrible place to upset someone or say the wrong thing. I sometimes go out thinking I'm I going to go home safe

Great video. They’re using the big German cars so it’s a real emergency. Imagine making an emergency call and see a the police arrive in a Peugeot.
I had a Peugeot where the drivers door handle never worked so I had to get out the passenger side. That would be a good look for responding police officers

I think it's a 60mph ring road they were crossing. By the time you see a police vehicle is it safe to stop. That's why it is important to approach and stop the junction as an emergency driver.
I think he did see it, but couldn't stop in time. If you play it frame by frame, you can see the drive wave a sorry to them, and the police actually gave him a thumbs up/acknowledgement,

for the riot I don't know, but for the ambulance instead it is for better visibility as well as differentiating from other vans, moreover that color, with the blue LEDs they have, makes a brighter effect, I don't know how to explain it, take a yellow vest reflector and point a blue light on that jacket

I was going to ask as well about the Mercedes, was that actually involved in the chase
undercover cars should be lit up like Christmas trees - like the Suburbans in the US. I can barely see them on the road nor can I hear them with a helmet on.

@@dadjv1926 yeah but a with lot of undercover cars you can sort of already see the lights, and a lot of American police ones are easily distinguishable solely because of antennas etc. So I feel lighting it up more just ruins it

Why are the traffic lights not going red for cross traffic
Is a steady on blue light on back of cars used for speed camera purpose?
Yes
and when an innocent person uses a bus lane to let them by, the blue light helps know it was an emergency
@@nekotranslates no, because nobody should be getting forced into a bus lane. If there is an exemption in place from the council for emergency services to use it, they should be using it (even to undertake) and not forcing innocent drivers to. Just like how as per training drivers shouldn’t be forced through red lights.
@@ce9934 But the red light exigency exemption drill exists: the obstructing driver turns on lights, signals right turn, looks both ways, hits the intersection horn warning ( _ _ . _) and turns right to clear the lane behind him, as soon as he can safely do so. The horn warning is repeated as needed during the manoeuvre.
@TheGoat for bus lanes and parking, yes. Outside London there is no statutory exemption for bus lanes, and many councils grand a standing exemption that can be claimed even when not utilising other exemptions.
Direction of traffic should be done on a safe and lawful basis. Forcing drivers to commit offences is not acceptable in training, and to be avoided where possible in reality.

There were no lights on the E class estate in that first clip (unless it was a camera shutter speed issue). Were they anything to do with the police or were they just an idiot taking advantage of the police responding to somehing in the direction they were heading? When going up the road they brake more often than any of the officers which makes me think they're not trained to the same level and is why I'm suspecting they're an idiot chancing their arm, especially jumping a red behind them.
I didn't think there were any circumstances where police would escort an unqualified driver nor an unsuitable vehicle (anything without their own blue/green lights, (blue and red for visiting specialist government vehicles, eg, the President's 'Beast')). Well there was the coaches a while ago but I didn't think regular cars would ever be escorted, they'd either be specialised enough to have their own emergency lighting or the occupants would be more than capable of transferring to a vehicle with the necessary lighting surely. Even if a car was already in motion, it would be a police car front and rear, not the car tagging along behind a convoy of vans and cars, and even then if all of that is wrong, they'd surely be asked to drive with hazard lights on.
Looks like they was just a jackass trying to jump a few minutes by following the police
@@sierraxray6920 I'm surprised someone would be so dumb as to follow a convoy of police vehicles through a red light then tailgate them up the road.
If it was an ambulance or fire appliance then it would be less surprising as they might think they can't get caught, but this guy has a squadron of officers as witnesses, every single one of them with the power to issue many fines and take their licence off them for their stupidity. I don't think it would be far off getting annoyed at a traffic police unit for following the speed limit, overtaking them, then brake checking them in terms of stupid things to do on the road.
I've gotta say that Ambulance with 'Pride' written all over it is .... just ridiculous. Looks like a friggin camper van. If it's an ambulance, paint it like one.

How do you know it was an assistance call ?, did one of these speeding vehicles happen to stop and wind their window down to update you. Possibly Officer down ! Possibly they were responding to a cat up a tree, you have no idea what the job was. "Officer down !" Down what ? down a drain, down on his luck. Where do you think you are Merseyside or Michigan. I think you should emigrate to the USA where you belong. All the Bobbies have guns there, you would love it
