Welcome to The Amish Potato’s Channel. My name is Cj Miller. I was raised Amish in Shipshewana, IN. I was Amish until I was 16 years old, when I started dressing “English”, drove a car and partied on the weekends. This is called Rumspringa.
I did this until I was in my late twenties. I then briefly joined the amish church, left again, and moved to Idaho where I discovered the truth of who Christ is, married my lovely wife and am now sharing my story on UA-cam.
Thank you for watching and enjoy!

What you said is Very true. They can say whatever they want to, but I know what they actually think because I lived it and believed it for 46 years. Thanks for saying how it actually is.

Eli Yoder said yesterday an amish bishop said he could get enough amish to go to the southern border & build a REAL wall in only 3days. THATS A LOT OF AMISH!!

Amish is not a religion. Even though they think it is. It is a cult. If the bishop would hand out Kool-Aid, they would all drink. My heart aches for my Amish neighbors. And my Amish friends.

What's so sad is salvation has nothing to do with religion, denomination, traditions of men etc. it's all about belief in our Savior, Jesus Christ. As a matter of fact "religion-man made traditions and rules" is CONDEMNED by Christ. Sad

    Mark 7:1-23
    What matters is the heart.
Jesus said in Mark 7 verse 8, ”You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!“
I pray that these Amish people will open their Bible and read it! And that they will get to experience true freedom in Jesus Christ.

Do you think maybe that guy in the original video could think of the Amish Church sort of like Roko's Basilisk?

I feel that a lot of Christian religions feel that theirs is the most accurate but not the only way. All Christian religions have some similarities after all. My church openly admitteed that they may not have everything 100% right. I for one can’t wait to have the answers when in Heaven. I’m sure is humans have quite a few things all wrong

I posted that then went incognito to see if I’m blocked.
Like Eli’s channel, Ray Comfort’s and several others.
I do that before wasting energy on those who aren’t mentally matured to look at another perceptive. A quote my daughter downloaded and shared.
The knowledge that a person can share from an eighth grade education, like myself, doesn’t scare me. But the belief they can demand, will create a populace who must find success in work ethic and competence, otherwise they’ll produce children unfit to become parents. Therefore, the end of their lineage, the end of their world.
With their faith they must deny all subsequent generations, that in truth are still theirs.
Yes! The Amish are a cult, on the day they can’t come to terms in their standards, and refuse to support their children’s rights to the calls of natural instinct, to have their own children without guilt, shame and regrets, the olive trees of their world are definitely budding.

No man should Judge another man in his belief of God. We all walk in different shoes or boots. Because my shoes or boots and clothing may be different doesn't mean that God does't love me and I'm certain that I will go to Heaven wether I'm in a Cult or not.

Amish are fortunate and blessed I believe. They aren't special by any means but I feel like they have a way better chance of getting into heaven because they haven't been exposed to the world. They are focused on Jesus (and religion unfortunately) but they are wholesome for the most part. At least the new order Amish that I know. Old order I don't agree with.

I don't know how close in proximity you live with them, but being surrounded on all sides, I see a lot of problems and have a lot of issues with them. Yes, you can find wonderful individuals and fine aspects to their culture, but... if you really look under the hood..???
(Example -- "the children are all so well behaved" -- well, how are they (many) raised to get that way? Is that really something you would want/admire..?)

I would consider myself as blessed in the way I grew up with good parents, solid family, a great safe community but when it comes to the truth of the Bible not so much. There are also many who are abused and have no way out. Many are trapped and don’t want to be there but remain because of the brainwashing.

I suppose one reason why the Amish don't say that non-Amish Christians are going to Hell is because they have to depend on outsiders for transportation. A question for a future video: If an Amish person were diagnosed with sleep apnea, would it be possible for them to use a CPAP hooked up to a generator?

You are speaking truth and former Amish are shunned if they leave. This is fact i had talked to former Amish who leave. They have it very hard on leaving the ocult. Eli Yoder had it very hard when he left -- many people who know Eli Yoder said that. Eli is a real evangelist and very good in knowing the truth and declairing it. Very good video and thank you for this video

Menno Simons was a Catholic priest who was excommunicated from the Catholic church. His followers became Mennonites. Jacob Ammon was a member of the Swiss Brethren who adopted the same beliefs as the Dutch Mennonite. Due to a rift between Amman and the Swiss leaders on ideas of dress, shunning, and others the two groups split with Ammans side being called amish and the Swiss brethren called Mennonites. Who is the one true church? Keep your eyes upon Jesus and study his teachings.
