My favorite articulated dolls are Made To Move Barbies. I wish Mattel made Made To Move Kens!

You know I would highly recommend you try out the obitsu body! Not only is it an amazing replacement body for broken Pullips but their articulation is just as incredible as a made to move barbie! Not to mention you can buy extra hands to give them extra hand poses! (like a peace sign, pointing, holding something, fist, etc). The body is reasonably priced (I know $20-25 is usually the standard price) though I do admit it really lacks in skin tone. Oh yeah, you can also purchase a slightly higher priced version with magnetic feet so you don't have to use a bulky doll stand too :)
I believe they can also fit Barbie as well! Obitsu's come with a huge variety of neck pegs when you buy one so you just pick whichever one is perfect for Barbie (maybe modify if you have to) and bam it's perfect! :D
I don't know if Obitsu are meant for play but I'm sure they are as I've had my Pullip on her Obitsu for about 8 years now and she hasn't broken at all :)

She didnt review them but they did mention obitsu in the pullip miku review when they broke one of their gang's body

SD anime dolls are not the same type of dolls personaly I think 1/6 azone, volks and obitsu doll are more in the Froggy style dolls and they can be verry articulated.
I realy love my smart dolls, dolfie dream and other SQ lab hybrid but Froggy have a younger audiance and colectible dolls like anime dolls are verry expensive for her folowers. but I would like see what Froggy can do with an anime doll like clothes and diorama.
They are ridiculous on price! Amazing dolls but very large in comparison

I have to say Pullip, is my favorite articulated doll, I've also found that if you are willing to spend the price, you can buy what is called an Obitsu body for them and change it out. Sadly my custom Mocha pullip will always be stuck with her original body, because well, obitsu does not make any mocha skin tones lol! BUT! If I can ever get my hands on either the Soccer, or break-dancer MTM Barbies, I would be able to switch her body out to that! Also LOVE your channel and!!! I have been using your templates for room idea's for my two girls

I know they are very very pricey, but it is worth it!
The denim is actual denim! Everything made at Smart Doll is hand crafted and fits on the doll perfectly, and is made with real high-quality leather, etc.

I never knew I needed this video until now. I don't own many kinds of dolls, but here it is:
1. Made-to-Move Barbie of course.
2. Monster High regular 12 inch dolls (only owns girls).
3. Licca dolls. The older ones. (head, shoulders, hips, plus wires within limbs causing knees and arms to bend)
Other types of dolls are not as articulated.

Made to move is the best. I just switched my favorite custom fashionista to the darker blue made to move body and it's a near perfect match.

Love your picks (and super excited the Fresh dolls are getting some guys and additional articulation!) That probably explains why they seem to be going to clearance right now... to make room for the newer dolls. I was thinking of getting Indigo cheap off Amazon but maybe I should wait. Having the wrist movement would be amazing and certainly worth the extra price, although I must say, I'm not sure I like how their outfits are more expensive than the dolls. But as you said, the new Barbie clothes work wonders. Maybe for the upgrade, they'll also sell the rest of them individually? XD
Also, I've seen various Made to Move briefly appear as Prime-only on Amazon, which is the only reason they didn't sell out immediately, and then some of the harder to find Made to Move dolls have appeared as pre-orders and then they sold out the same day! It's crazy. I found the brunette soccer doll at a Target in the wrong section (her box was damaged; maybe she was a return that someone was carrying around) and I ordered my brunette yoga doll directly from the Mattel website. I think they should make separate bodies in huge batches for customizers and adult collectors who already want to switch bodies for a Fashionista. That might help?? I also want some of them with their original faces but then again, someday I would like more for customization or to swap heads and I feel kind of guilty wasting even the generic Barbie head...

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many articulated dolls! Awesome! I didn't even know the 18" Monster High dolls had Made to Move bodies! Somehow I knew the MTM Barbie would be #1 lol Great video! And I can't wait to get a Froggy doll!

Thanks Froggie! I am so glad you made this list! Because of your amazing videos, I have come to love the MTM Barbies. I got a couple of them as the Soccer players, and I'm having a fun time dressing them up and making some fun new things! I also got a couple of dolls that are the "Hollywood" dolls like the Tris from Divergent doll. She has a good bit of articulation, but not as much as MTM, I think. Of course I have seen the Fresh dolls, but my Wal-Mart is so messy and disorganized that I never actually looked at them. I will look at them now! I recently saw the WWF dolls, and I love them!!! I am like you - price is a major factor! One thing I wondered is whether or not the traditional Barbie clothes will fit the WWF bodies? Also, you didn't mention Momoko dolls (I think that's how you spell it). I don't know anyone who has one of them, and I would love to know how they stack up. Regardless, I was pleased to see the Tonner and the Hot Toys dolls on your list. I have about 20 or more Hot Toys dolls on my wish list lol (Major Marvel can girl here!) Unfortunately, their steep prices mean I have none on my I actually own this list. Ah well, I can dream! Anyway, thanks again for this list! It's definitely Fabsome!!!!!
Pullip are my favorite (not terribly expensive) dolls I got my Miku Pullip for my sweet 16 and a make it ur own Pullip a year after. Now that I’m an “adult” I have $1k dollfie Miku, but If you want an “anime style doll” pullips are serious cute, they have smaller ones called Dals and the boys are called taeyang. They’re normally around $100-$300 but that’s where second hand dolls come in handy I’ve seen some dolls go for $60

I love the azone dolls! I use mine for wearing my handmade clothes and sewing so I know the price point for play is high but for me I think they’re amazing!
