I also went off at rspid 7. Got stuck in a bit and just grtting spun around. Was just figgting to keep my head out of the water.
Eventually gave it and thought, this isnt working so dived down and helpfully it spat me out!

THose rapids in the Zambezi are " deeper" and faster than the Grand Canyon ( Colorado River); looks like higher volume of water; a lot more rafts ( boats) flipping over on the Zambezi and length looks longer.

They need to go back to using the oar boats. These have the guide only with 2 long oars, tied in. The passengers use body weight to stop the boats high siding, and therefore prevent many of the capsizes. I have rowed down some of these Zambezi rapids myself. Paddle boats should really only be used on lower grades of whitewater. There have been quite a few casualties over the years both from drownings and crocodiles.

That would be much better and less dangerous indeed! Weird that they stopped using those boats
      !?

Frame boats suck and are dangerous with those wooden oars flying about when in a hole. Paddle boats are way better and one can brace and high-side . There havent been many casualties at all considering the amount of people that have gone down, why try spread negative false info?. Zero crocodile encounters since the inception of rafting the zambezi in the early 80s with Sobek. The crocs that are in that section survived the drop over the falls and dont get big at all as their diet is very restricted. What seasons were you there that you claim and what company did you guide for? Me thinks you are talking kak
