- Just scratching the surface of what the new Vectra synthesizer is capable of while beta testing some features... thought you might enjoy a sneak peak.
All sounds from the Future Retro Vectra, additional effects from the Eventide Eclipse.
Oh boy. I haven't been this exited about a new syth in a while. Seems great for industrial. I need it 😍
Damn that looks and sounds extremely sweet! Will all the same old same old out there I'm SO excited for this. Finally a new synth worth buying.
i heard this "same old same old" a lot lately, so it have joysticks and a touch keyboard, does it makes it new? my guess the take5 is more "modern" and complex, but what do i know :)
You´re so right bro. I will do this one on my list, too. I bought two FR777 from FutureRetroSynths back in 1999/2000 and I am still so happy like the first day! No other synth I´ve ever bought gave me (not near!) the same satisfaction and this sound damn! man......
@@xfghffhfg If you're looking for a studio synthesizer to do in-depth sound design, sure. But for a stage performance instrument? No.
This is awesome. I used to have a FR 777 back in 2000. Wish I never sold it.
Love this so cool, joysticks and key slide, great sounds too
Love the interface. Simple and usable. Sounds solid.
this synth looks like more joy than I can handle at once
The SSL Fusion i think helps in the overall sound,,,,,,,
I did not realize that any of the functions of the SSL were engaged until after rewatching this video, then I noticed the first section on the SSL was on. So that may have altered the sound in a way I was not aware of.
Duh.
Well, now we know how it sounds with vintage drive on it !
The best Synthesizer since Years, I´m very impressed Jared
Brilliant beta preview. Cannot wait.
This synth isn't going to appeal to everyone, and it's not meant to. It's nice to see synth designers taking some chances and making things that are off the beaten path. The way that the keyboard works with the sequencer and arpeggiator just looks so fluid and inspiring. I'm a firm believer in the digital oscillators paired with analog filters approach, and to my ears this synth sounds great (as far as I can perceive from a YT clip). This is one of the more interesting synths to come along in awhile, and the price point is tempting.
Mindblowing
Sounds very good
Umm...WOW! Sounds Great! A future Home Run by Future Retro! Wait!!!...A Future Retro Home Run by Future Retro! Totally impressed!
Cool, sounds nice with the added fusion sauce.
Yeah, this is a must-have. Wow.
total surprise, not even heard of it before
Awesome sneak peek... and then some!
[ grateful 777, Revo mk2 and Orb user :O]
damn this looks amazing, i might have to pre order this second
Amazing!!!!
Awesome!
Cannot wait for a ship date. Love those effects. Would the Eventide H9 Max be a comparable lower priced pedal?
I've never used that pedal, so I can't say for sure.
What kind of cool keyboard is that? Ultra short travel it seems, I LIKE IT A LOT
no travel at all, it seems like a touch-plate, bucla 200 style.
like their 512 touch keyboard but different design, looks more comfortable, the black keys are bigger.
Sounds mint i want,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
This thing looks like it could be a drone monster; would love to have seen that demonstrated. (Speaking of which, I didn't see a way to latch notes from the front panel photos; is there a sustain switch jack on the back?)
The amplifier section has a DRONE mode.
@@FutureRetroSynths thanks - good to hear!
😎👍
This looks like a synth that you found from the tresortechno club in berlin with some designer drugs
But a simple nice sequencer is missing
So, exactly what type of synthesis does this employee?
sounds like subtractive virtual analog
but maybe vector synthesis, whatever that is :)
@@xfghffhfg Yeah, that's what I was hearing, which is fine and all, but it's been done to death (the subtractive VA thing.)
1 joystick? Nah fuck off we need FOUR! :D
The sound is very mid-heavy. Dont like the keyboard aesthetic...but multi-poly aftertouch might swing it. Does sound just like a regular VA though. One to watch....
Joysticks ? I think touch pads would have been much better and more durable (break-prone) too
what's the controller on the right side of the desk? looks a bit like a calculator?
That would be the remote to one of the best reverbs from the 80's, the Lexicon 244
Different version of a arturia microfreak
microfreak is from 2019, future retro made this type of keyboards 3 years before, the "512 touch keyboard" at 2016.
arturia known to mass produce others boutique invention so don't expect this to cost the same :)
btw, this touch keyboard used by buchla since the 70s
Not even close. Both are nice but this is way more powerful.
I guess it would have been better when recording direct from the output's instead of routing it through a serious stack of analog outboard. I have a comparable set and I can assure you, it makes a lot off difference. This is not a fair demo imo.
Any idea on price and availability???
in about a week and 1299 usd :)
This sounds interesting and has a nice form factor. But! these keyboards are very off putting for actual playing. Something to consider..
only if you can't/don't want to get use to something else. this type of keyboards can have their advantage.
Price? 👽
This sounds really good but the UI is not very appealing. Add more controls please and get rid of that small LCD. Oh and another octave wouldn't hurt!
How much and when its relase

Now lets hear without the Fusion :D
You can't hear the Fusion..the Eclipse does all the space and angel dust...
I don't understand why joysticks are not more popular for tweakers like me. Wear out too quickly?
they can move easily after tweaking, hard to control just one axis and expensive
@@xfghffhfg true
sounds thin? i don't hear "weight", my speakers goes below 15hz :) maybe it's the processing?
and also going through a ssl processor, imagine without....
@@plutostube if it did maybe it will be better without it (and the eventide effect)
@@xfghffhfg eventide maybe, but ssl it just giving presense (if the settings are right), I played with one recently
@@plutostube seems only the first part is active, he add some "drive" and "lots" of "density" that i guess it's kind of overdrive and saturation, so maybe it's even thinner :) i think it's a virtual analog synth.
