Why did you add ice if it’s going into the refrigerator?

I'm about to use my turkey cannon for the first time, read all the instructions, and now notice that you have the base upside down (handles pointing down instead of up?), so now you have to lift the bird itself and hope the cannon doesn't slide off. I think I will use an aluminum pan underneath and attempt to make the all-important gravy, and keep my grill cleaner. Also...you use a basting brush for the butter but you don't brush the butter on? Not sure you can get even coverage by 'dripping' butter on....but the bird did look good when you were done. I'm too lazy to brine today, hope I don't regret it haha.

The turkey looks excellent. I love to smoke turkey. Lately I have been smoking only a boneless turkey breast, due to it only being me and my wife. Keep smokiing.

Jon Yust Jon thanks for stopping by!! I smoked the Turkey with Apple 🍎 Pellets. I didn’t want the Turkey to have an overwhelming taste from smoke.

the turkey you did on the comodo joe looked way better and more moist. I used that recipe a couple years ago and it was on point with the herb butter.

If you're going to put the bird in a bucket in the refrigerator why do you have to put ice in the bucket?
