Yes! To everything you said about medication! While there may be some risks with medications, the risk to me and baby from dehydration and malnourishment were far higher.
Thank you for this video! I currently have an 8 month old. I want more, but I’m so anxious about being pregnant again. I never got an HG diagnosis, because I think I had a milder version of it, but it was horrendous. I got Zofran from my GP at 5 weeks because I had been vomiting all night and getting dehydrated. I did well on that and it prevented the vomiting and reduced the nausea, but I ended up with a fecal impaction from it. After that I took unisom and b6 for the rest of my pregnancy. This didn’t work as well. I lost my job and just laid on the couch most days trying to sleep. I was vomiting in the back of my mouth 30-40 times a day, but discovered that if I ate crackers right when I thought I would vomit, I could sort of “stuff it back in” for another 5-10 minutes. It didn’t always work, but it did most of the time. I had one bad episode at 27 weeks were I think I injured my esophagus, I was vomiting blood tinged bile. Doctors were so frustrating. Everyone at the obgyn office kept insisting that everything I was experiencing was normal. One doctor said that because I wasn’t actually vomiting everyday and gaining weight (from all those crackers) I “had heartburn and just thought it was nausea.” This is not in my head! Thankfully the good hours and days became more frequent in the last couple months of pregnancy. I don’t know if the probiotic and magnesium-citrate supplements I added had anything to do with that or not. Now that I’m feeling better, I can finally do some research for myself. I met with a midwife for a preconception appointment and she told me she will help me get medication right away of I get pregnant again. I’m nervous about future pregnancies, but I’m also grateful to know I have a medical professional on my side who will listen to me and be proactive next time.
I can totally relate to your story. I remember crying in my car when the doctor insisted I just had heart burn and there was “no way I could still have nausea at 8 months pregnant.” This was my fourth baby and I am nauseous the entire pregnancies. If I have another child I am seeking a midwife..
I have HG right now and it feels sooo good to know that COCA-COLA has been soothing for other women as well I also do 1 a day! God bless everyone and stay strong
Please, I dont know what to do. There is nothing I can eat and no good days. This is my second HG pregnancy and it is só much worse than it was in The first

Rice and beans on a corn tortilla and mcdonalds sausage biscuits and hashbrowns seem to be all i can handle this week. It's really hard to find anything to drink thats not loaded with sugar, but i can ingest water if i take teeny tiny sips after long intervals.
I know you posted this 10 months ago- did you find anything that helped? I’m almost 27 weeks with HG and I need help so bad. I’m falling apart. I don’t know what to do
@@angelgrace3212 in the beginning I got medication and also protein shakes. That was a good start. I just slept in a lot. Didn’t work but tried to do social sometimes so I didn’t got to isolated. I choose the baby and that was a good decision! I liked fruits mango pineapple food with little to no herbs and stopped eating before 21:00. Went to psychologist, midwife doctor etc a lot just to make sure everything was ok with me and the baby. Take care my friend! Love from Amsterdam

I'm so sorry that's happening to you. I just found out I'm pregnant with baby #2 after an HG first pregnancy. I was able to do at home IVs through a local infusion center which helped tremendously! Is there anything like that in your area?

@@jordanlogic3239 ma'am just wanted to have some understanding , are people like me able to carry pregnancy for 9 months and have baby? Last time that was my first pregnancy and I was not able to keep water down and had miscarriage. I am planning my next pregnancy and this time I am already terrified 😔
