There's a persistent idea that Christianity came to Africa with colonialism. But the true origin of the African Church is found much further back in history

Egypt, Ethiopia and North Africa had large Christian populations which is why many church councils were held in Africa.
Because of lsIamic conquests in the 7th century, African lands became mainly Muslim.
Had Islam never succeeded, North Africa would still be Christian.

The problem is that the question is oriented towards a simple goal: to strengthen Christianity in Africa (as if it weren't already enough of it). In reality Christianity may not have been brought to Africa by colonization but it was spread through colonization. Just as islam spread to africa when arabs were looking for slaves

Christianity in Ethiopia dates back to 1500 years ago many centuries before it even went to western europe like britain or France. And Ethiopia is the only African country that was never colonized !!🇪🇹
