    The thing with Gable Steveson is that his ceiling is higher than anything WWE can give him in my opinion. He’s most likely going to get gold again in 2024, and he’s young enough to go for a 3PEAT in 2028 Los Angeles. In the next 10-15 years Gable can easily be a multi-time Olympic gold medalist, multi-time WWE champion, and possibly UFC heavyweight champion. I’d rather push Gable doing something productive and inspiring than supporting Roman Reigns part time schedule most likely bombing Hollywood auditions during his time off.

    • @WilliamsWrestlin
      @WilliamsWrestlin Рік тому +2

      Because Gable knew how to work the underhook against Paris. If you just get an underhook and do nothing with it, Paris will just hit an overhook dump. Here, Gable not only gets the underhook but once he gets the underhook, he's instantly driving forward to make sure Paris is off balanced enough to not even think about trying a fireman's dump off the underhook. That's how he can get the ankle pick so easily since Paris was so worried about trying to defend the underhook. Kerkvliet just tried to finesse himself to an NCAA title and never learned that Paris will dump you any chance he can get an overhook. Gable knew what he had to do

    I noticed Gable does a wonderful job in "bouncing" in clinched positions. With an underhook, he reduces his opponents weight with a bounce and he acquires a technical attack (or a pushout) with minimal energy. It's wonderful to see heavyweights use good technique in conjunction with their strength and size - it's good wrestling!!

      ☝️Yes. That is correct . In freestyle all you have to do is expose their back. Automatic 2 points. Just like in a leg lace or a gut wrench and you turn them.
