Greeting Fred! I am not aware of a way to do that in the editor. But you can run your DAW and editor at the same time as shown in the video at 3:27 and make changes from your PC/Mac in real time.

@@renanoliveiraprof I believe the Alesis V49 can not do that. The M-Audio Oxygen8 works that way. It does not have a MIDI Editor. It has a Octave Mode and a Transpose Mode using the Octave up-down buttons.
