Awesome to see some different meta chats, be good to get guests on from other countries to talk meta chat. Would be great to hear the different metas from across the globe. Which country do you guys think has the best meta? That Matt King display board was something else love the mini gundabads sooo cute almost as cute as Stephen
Thanks for your thoughts on event scenarios. Think veto probably fits best. The event will be a gbhl 90 but I know a fair few prospective players would not have loads of armies to tailor lists to specific scenarios. Food for thought. This weeks question: how would you run a moria dragon alliance list? Been considering moria/dark powers as you get a cheap hero of valour in the nazgul and then hunter orcs backed by goblin spears. Having fun thinking about ways of running the dragon other than pure moria or moria/goblin town.
Would you guys be interested in having some Irish event results? I've started running events this year and would love to get some coverage for the ihl.
Great discussion as ever! I've just started listening to your channel and it's been great so far. My question for you: I've got a 550-point 7 round tournament coming up myself down here in Australia, with random scenarios and 1.5 hours per game. I'm tossing up between two lists, and would love your input. First list is Pits of Dol Guldur with Azog, Hunter Orc Captain, Thrain (for the cheeky deployment drop) and 33 models. Second list is Azog's Hunters with the three named Captains and a small Goblin Mercenary warband, for 41 models. The second list has model-count, shooting (17 bows), can spread out more easily and has Goblin Merc shenanigans, whereas the first list has Azog(!), some spear supports, and Surprise Attack. I'm leaning towards Pits, but would love your input. I'd also be curious as to whether you'd prefer Thrain or upgrading the Hunter Orc Captain to a Gundabad Captain with shield. I like the deployment drop, but I do acknowledge that he makes Assassination and Fog harder in some ways. Keen to hear the discussion!
Other than the obvious here that everyone will hate you, do you guys run into double shade lists at higher points? Do you guys have thoughts on that in an Angmar list? Essentially 24 inches of coverage on a board with the -1 seems great in theory so I’m curious to know your guys opinions. Love the podcast!
Congrats to big Stevie D. 700 points Angmar. How much MWF on the WK in a list with Gully and a Barrow Wight? I'm leaning towards 343 as I'm not the most experienced player of Magic. Model count 43.
My strong take is that 3/10/2 is optimal on a WK. I've used him at 28 tournament games and only once would having more Will have made a real difference. People tend to really overestimate how long tournament games go for in my view, and you generally just don't have enough time to use more than 9 Will unless you're doing crazy stuff like 3-dice Transfixes
Thanks for having me on guys 🐐

I agree, i think will management is often depleted by panic rolling more dice than needed.
If Gareth Southgate played MESBG who do you think he would play?
I'd say arnor 😅
