First time watching. Been. Driving for 30 years flat beds mostly. Lumber yard should have brushed the gravel off those pallets. They no better. Enjoy watching you. Im retired now. Good luck with your career. Very nice truck. Sending angels to watch over you.
I am so glad I found this channel I love it and I love this guy he makes me laugh!! May God bless you and keep you safe through these bad times we’re living in is my prayer!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Flatbed is what I pulled like it better then the box that different from the dump trailer,,,,,,I like to pull the dump trailer better I was home every night,,,,,great video stay safe
Wes, youre throwing the straps backwards. Take the strap back through the winch, and roll them up. They throw much easier from the loose end in a roll. Put a twist in the strap to keep them from buzzing and flapping in the wind. Good job though! Have a good week. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.
Wes, I know that you are having some difficulties that prevent you from driving, but we sure do miss you and your posts. Hope things are better. Blessings
Ive delivered lumber to that universal forest products along with the one in gordon pa off 81 and the one in new windsor md. Easiest way to throw straps on a windy day is to unwind it then roll the strap back up around the hook and toss it over, that way its compact and rolling across through the wind and drops off the other side. Keeps the mass of the hook with the strap and keeps it close to the load. Just for future reference. Plus less likely to smack a fender or clang and scuff a wheel.
It does change your whole attitude and day if you really ant sure where you're going and how to get in there its a good feeling!! Good video back to work..
Man you are funny! You should be a comedian on the side lol. When you said "Hope the forklift guy ain't on the other side listening," I was thinking the same thing lol. Oh man, and your description of the truckstop....🤣🤣🤣🤣
I run flat bed once in awhile. Old timer showed me. Take a nut tie it to a string. 20ft long or what ever. Throw that over and at the end of string tie a loop and put strap hook in it and pull it over. Works good.
Darien Lake is awesome man. Bring your kids there for a day this summer. They always got deals and now with covid theyre probably gonna be doing insane day rates.
It’s a lot easier to roll up the straps and throw the roll over vs rolling it on the winder. Look up throwing a rolled strap you can put some slack in the roll hold the slack and kinda slingshot it over. It’s a lot easier that way
@@nickscustoms269 I did that early one am not quite awake yet, didn’t put enough ass behind it and tossed that SOB up in the air and it came right back down and busted me in the face 😂 I was so F’n mad. ✌️🇺🇸
Company has a few of those newer east trailers. I like them But I'm not sold on those sliding strap holders. They just seem like they would bust off easy.
That pry bar you found the green on it that's a Mac tool pry bar so you found $50 on the ground at least cuz I have the full set anyways drive safe have fun and be safe Scottro
Easy fix for your bag problem... Get some slats from a broken pallet som screws and a broken strap that is too short cut strap to make hinges get two slats leave about a two inch gap between the slats cut old strap and screw them too both slats hay presto load protectors use them on bags bricks and blocks
I've delivered bags of soil and mulch to a few Wal Marts in KY.. The one in Manchester is a nightmare.. pull to the back then have to back all the way out around the store. No room to spin your trailer...
Love when dispatch gives broker your phone number and they constantly call u. Or they want you to download their app so they can track you. . . . They don't call you all that much less either.
Strap problem in high wind get some rope long enough to go over your load buy a dog rubber ring attach ring to rope throw over your load attach other end to your strap pull strap quickly over your load repeat until load is tsrapped up oh the rubber ring adds weight and if it hits someone or something no damage
Cedar hill trucking?????years back I use to watch a guy that had a daycab pete, pulled a dump wagon, in NY, and was cedar hill trucking......his name was rick......ring a bell???same trucking company you are with??? Ceadrhill70rick, was his channel.....I think
it’s hard to please everyone. I try to mount the camera in the cab so you can watch me pull in and out of places and then I bring the camera with me when I’m out of the truck. Maybe this isn’t the trucking channel for you unfortunately.
Beautiful KW especially those old headlights awesome mix of old and new. Be safe out there

Can't believe they loaded those lumber pallets with all the dirt in the bottom !
I’m from Buffalo and end up at that flying Js and Darien lake quite a bit. Seen a lot of great concerts there!
I can’t wait for concerts to happen again

Watertown ny but still kinda close

The camp grounds to Darien Lake are behind the hotel. There are about 200 spots. You can walk in to the park through the back
Awesome video man. Sharp truck! P.s. Love the shades. 😎

Looking good at the the truck stop one of the only non plastic trucks lol
The"Stranger" man I'm glad the forklift guy didn't hear you lol
Me too 🤣
You need some V-BOARDS on that load driver. It’ll keep you from damaging the cargo like that last bundle on your trailer and your straps will be tight
Nice truck
Thank you
You should keep some 2inch ratchet straps in your side box.

I got a text today to download the app from two different numbers. I’ll never do it.
Nice job driver
I'm from Syracuse. I end up at that flying J alot more then I thought.
I didn't know that was your name and I kind of been watching your videos for a little while now
She looks good,
I was wondering if it was Watertown NY until i seen the snow.
saw you on the thruway heading north the other day.. truck was looking large!! gave you a shout on the cb but you didnt answer
Sry brother. I appreciate the shout. Sometimes I got the radio up jamming to some Britney Spears or something.
@@Wgrippin 😂😂 it’s all good I run through there a lot I’m sure I’ll see you again
Your going to break every windshield on the thruway with all those stones and dirt on your trailer...unbelievable.
Tailgater deterrent…. Can’t win them all. I try to do best I can but we aren’t all perfect. I do forget things sometimes. Not often but sometimes 😏
Awesome video Wes
Thank you
That's all I ever done was flatbed lol but I tell u wat it make that little kw9 look like a working truck lol
🤣🤣💪💪

Hello from Ohio I'm new to your channel and I like your video

You Should do a video on how you polish and what you use.
I will once polishing season comes.
Bud you should haul milk into Elma New York you'll get your break in and then some

I was. Probably around 8-9
Î love this truck.
Thank uou
What year is the KW you drive? Also has it been customized with a W900B sleeper to make it an actual flat top?
It’s an 18. Could order gliders with the flat top only.
I have an 06 day cab that I was wondering if I could put a sleeper from our 85 w9 b on it.
@@chrishays5820 I’m not sure tbh but there’s a lot of people that have done stuff like that. Pretty sure it could be done somehow

How is it decided who gets the flatbed work?
Well in this case we have some landfill work going on and my truck isn’t a great landfill truck so that made the decision.
No place like home.😁
Back to work........👍🏻
👍😉
