I don't have any experiences in tech (but work as a higher ed staff member), do you recommend doing a data analysis certificate first, then a CRM/salesforce cert after? Or go directly into the SF cert?

Great video Ben! And frankly gave me a sense of relief. I am that 'certain type of Salesforce professional'. I've seen a lot of ....stuff in my career! 💩🤠. With Data Cloud and AI...that is REALLY going to require a lot of seriousness from business on data quality also, correct? I think that's going to cause a lot of these projects to fail initially. It's going to be an interesting industry to work in over the next 10 years.

Data has always been important but some companies are late to the game which makes Data Cloud look "great" because of the promise of zero copy, easy to bring in data sources, and declarative components to it. Data has always been key to improvements.

I was just ridiculed on LinkedIn by a Salesforce personnel regarding my viewpoint of Salesforce career paths declining. This is the first thing you touch on. This person said I had "anecdotal stories" followed by "neat". The layoffs and declining salaries are not anecdotal. The increase in less experienced resources grasping the upper roles due to decreased in expected salaries reflect a devaluing of the Salesforce profession. Once companies start recognizing value related to the cost of Salesforce licensing this will go in the other direction; however, this comes at company strategy, vision and ability to get the proper resources to drive innovation.
