The ultimate bad ending
Hi ! I’m French and I love the ending of Napoleon ! Congratulations for this video, she is great ! From France 🇫🇷 😊
ultimate good ending
There is a mistake. Austria can not be part of the holy onion empire, they are punished, they are not allowed to have onions.

Yuck, A$stria.

As a French a dream about this holy onion empire becomes reality
They will be slaves instead.
The Auld Alliance Ending: In 1745, France helps the Jacobites in Scotland to launch a successful rebellion against the English. From there, Scotland and France enter into a new Auld Alliance with France and Scotland working together to push Franco-Albian royalist ideals across the Americas and Europe.
The problem with France it's because of its age and it's history make a video with all the ending takes 3hours.

Robespierre ending : He somehow managed to hold Hotel de Ville and defeat Barras' army and after that, I dunno what would happen
After getting rid of all opposition he take over the power of France as the Grand Pontife of the supreme being launch a crusade for spreading science and knowledge around Europe, when peace is secure he establish as parralel a decentralised démocracy in France keeping himself on a religious rule.
More probably he just get killed by political struggle or by Napoléon as he anticipated
Chop everyone's head off, including Robespierre himself
Everyone lost their heads.
Robespierre good ending : Robespierre stand to his support opposing death penalty, no reign of terror, they defeated the coalition army, and now France is a prosperous republic
If no reign of Terror they would have been a monarchist coup one moment or another
That would still constitute as a bad ending
@@orionfernandes4587 why?

I think a French Union ending would have been a really good one. It was proposed in our timeline and was meant to turn all overseas colonies into overseas departments, but it collapsed because the relationship was still exploitative instead of actually being beneficial to everyone
What is the hell is matter with you, chruchill knew what he was doing humaliating the French, he didn't give details just said it will happen so more likely France would have been directly under the influence of great Britain, when this offer was presented to the French government they were outraged since it basically meant wheather be puppeted by Germany or Great Britain, they rejected it.
@@athishnirup1815 What? The French Union has nothing to do with the British. The French Union was a proposed idea for the colonies of France to become overseas departments, similar to present day French Guinea. It was an idea to replace the French Colonial Empire, with a closer Union of the States within it
@@EEE-pv2eo oh sorry my mistake, did you Mean like a French federal Republic where instead French colonies would be part of France, Napoléon had this ambition he wanted to conquer whole of Latin American continent and unite them under first French empire, instead of being like a colony they would be officially treated like a country, the people there were oppressed for centuries and now they had to be part of the country where they were oppressed this was clearly in French interests and having a last minute change of heart saying now we know we oppressive to you but be part of us, they weren't idiots they saw the weakness of France after ww2 and rebeled against them.
@@athishnirup1815 There were a lot of propositions on how to organize it. But the one that I found was that Core France and Algeria were going to be the Metropolitan France, while the rest of the French territory was to become semi-independent territories, aka Overseas Departments.
An exact writing from Britannica describes it as:
French Union, French Union Française, a political entity created by the constitution of 1946 of the Fourth French Republic. It replaced the French colonial empire with a semifederal entity that absorbed the colonies (overseas départements and territories) and gave former protectorates a limited local autonomy with some voice in decision making in Paris. By the constitution of 1958 it was replaced by La Communauté (see French Community).
As well as the following French Community:
French Community, French La Communauté, association of states created in 1958 by the constitution of the Fifth French Republic to replace the French Union (itself the successor of the former French colonial empire) in dealing with matters of foreign policy, defense, currency and economic policy, and higher education. By the late 1970s the association was defunct. Although the relevant articles of the constitution were not abrogated, they were no longer applied, and the Community fell into oblivion.
@@EEE-pv2eo but algeria was part of France since 1830 and were still treated like a colony Algerians had no rights, and Muslims were treated badly , king of France was losing support and in order to gain support he inavded Algeria, why Algeria, because Algerians supported Napoléon and aided his army with supplies Napoléon signed a treaty saying he would repay their debt and double their profits, so Napoléon lost and they needed their money back and now pressured the bourbon regime in france to give back their money, the bourbons didn't respect this because it was Napoléon who said this not them so they didn't care, they wouldn't shut up and kept pressuring the bourbon regime the king of France was unpopular and in order to get support invaded, that didn't do anything and French revolution of 1830 began, the new government now worried that if another revolution would happen then the colony might be lost seeing the unrest an outside power would have inavded so to avoid this they officially made Algeria part of France.
Idea:The commune ending: with the Paris Commune not falling, and it's ideas spreading through the rest of France, a revolution topples the Republic and establishes the first major european communist state. Music: L'internationale
it's very similar to the Kaiserreich one, although not specifically syndicalist, it's more libertarian socialist than the Bolsheviks
Алик? Это ты?
@@bad_paki6158 no
The French commune wasn’t communist and was just a revolution to get a city council and other rights for Paris, they didn’t even rebel to separate from the government, however there were lots of communist and far leftist in their government so it could of happened
C'EST LA LUUUUTTE FIIIINAAAALE !!!!
As a french, the last ending is the best for Europe
Mais Carrément cher compatriote!!! 🇫🇷
There’s a common misunderstanding about the Hundred Years’ War. Both Plantagenet and Valois were French dynasties, Plantagenet just happened to also own England.
It was a French succession war, not an England Vs France war as it’s often presented.
So if Plantagenet had won, France would have remained France and kept England.
The Valois stripped Plantagenet of their French territory but left them England, making England de facto independent.
I strongly agree with you. La Guerre de Cent ans is a War between nobles, not between peasants.
Exactly.
In fact, some argue it would have been better for Jeanne d'Arc to fail for France's sake and England's desmise.
Very interesting
Its less if an misunderstanding and more of a narrative to bolster English nationalism and nation building (within England proper). As well as to legitimise the various French cadet families' legitimacy to title of King of England (and Wales) and to rule over the English.
Funny enough, after the Norman Conquest and until the Tudors, most of the English monarchs identified as French and preferred France, just so happened that they were stuck ruling England as they were technically autonomous/independent French vassals or paid fealty to whomsoever was the monarch of France.
To be fair, it depends. In the first half of the conflict, it was indeed the case. Toward the end, it's more complicated: the Plantagenets evolved in the meantime, and a sense of England vs France emerged. Partly. Henry V was the first Plantagenet king to primarily speak English, so you see that at this point there was a will to be seen as more English.
But assuredly, if the Plantagenets had won, the French monarchy would have just remained the French monarchy, just with a different dynasty at its head.
2:48 it's amazing how one battle can change world history
2:00 my favourite ending
Realistically, the Ultimate Bad Ending would actually turn out good, as the capital of the Angevin Empire would probably be Paris, and French would remain the dominant language.
But they wouldn't be the real crown of France. A fake France. They would still call themselves Kings of England first
Ironically that actually sounds about right, especially considering that 3/4 of the empire would be native French
Totally agree, the plantagenet ending unify french & England crown probably under the french influence. It's potentialy the best ending for France.
Basically divergences of darkness, so french become the world's lingua franca!

3:00 "cursed"? What do you mean, "cursed"? I see this as an absolute win!
it annexed Austria, and the Austrians cannot have onions, that's why it's cursed
With England, Spain, Germany and Italy as their neighbors, the idea of France managed to survive until now is quite an amazing feat. Except during the Napoleonic wars, we could sum up the French plan as is: secure his borders. But the best borders are the natural one: the Pyrenees are the perfect borders with Spain, the Alps are the perfect borders with Italy, and the Ocean is the perfect borders with England.
Yet: Germany is a problem. Where to put the border? There is no ocean or mountain, just "flat" lands. This is where you understand what really wanted French power: secure the Rhine. The French plan was an easily guardable natural border and the Rhine was the best one there. You will understand a lot more about the French point of view about Alsace. People in Alsace are germanic people that saw themselves French. Germany wanted it because of it germanic root even if the people living there didn't wanted to being part of Germany (and the occupation of Alsace by Germany is still a major grudge in the region) while France wanted it to secure its border and was glad to treat them kindly (strong economy independence, freedom of thoughts) even if they wasn't celts / latin / whatever or didn't spoke a french / latin / latin-based language. Flander and part of the Nederland would have been treated the same way I believe.
So the best "achievable" ending for France would have been a Pyrenees / Alps / Rhine border.
I always wondered what France would be like if Henri, Comte de Chambord hadn't been so stubborn about the white flag and France became a constitutional monarchy after the overthrow of Napoleon III.
A better France, nothing can be worse than the republic, except disappearing or being a puppet
it wasn't stubbornness, he likely just didn't want the job

As a french person, this is hella' funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Norman ending: After William de Normandie failed to conquer England, his alternative plan kicks in and he usurps the throne of France.
Chambord Ending: After the Franco-Prussian War, Prince Henri accepts the compromise to have the French flag be the tricolor but with the fleur-de-lys inside the white stripe. France becomes a kingdom again under Henri V before passing onto the Orléans dynasty but under legitimist titles (kings Philippe VII and VIII.) The so-called “Philippian Monarchy” lasts until after WW1 when a fascist coup overthrows it.
A fascist coup wouldn't have overthrown it as historically speaking, french far right is monarchist. At most, there would have been a dynasty struggle between Bourbons and Orléans but that's all.
@@camelotduroy1168 I would figure someone like Jacques Doriot of the PPF might at least become Prime Minister before assuming dictatorial powers akin to Italy’s Mussolini
@@morsecode980 not so sure. Doriot and the PPF were way weaker at the time than the Action Française. If a reactionary revolution took place, it would have been the royalists and they would have given power to the king, like they tried to do in 1934
@@camelotduroy1168 I’ll admit I actually didn’t know about the 1934 crisis. I’d heard of AF but didn’t realize they were royalists. With that in mind, yeah maybe they’d try to put Bourbons back on the throne since the Orléans were generally liberal.
