I would strongly say we that our reality is a bad ending for the UK. It still has large relevance and the potential to increase that whilst maintaining a large amount of power. Maintaining an empire, as with any was just untenable so we ended up where inevitably would have anyway, in a new geopolitical situation

@Techstorm 123 I wouldn’t say so. England has a population of 60 million, the island of Ireland has a population of around 8 million at most, Scotland has 6 million at most and Wales has 4 million. Combined that’s 18 million. Scotland is probably the only one of those with the economic capacity to punch above its weight and even then, it has to be done right.
