    0:00 Intro
4:50 Hormonal birth control and xenoestrogens from our environment push women into perimenopause and premature ovarian failure.
6:30 Women who come off birth control may experience early perimenopause.
9:30 Bioidentical hormones can help women coming off hormonal birth control to recuperate.
11:30 Women have more testosterone than estrogen.
13:40 PCOS is an insulin and low progesterone issue.
15:40 Women’s estrogen and progesterone are produced in the ovarian follicles. Adrenal glands also produce estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone.
18:25 AMH levels reflect the ovarian reserve.
18:50 Egg quality depends upon balanced levels of estrogen and testosterone.
21:30 DHEA is important for energy, healthy estrogen levels, blood sugar metabolism, immune system,
muscle mass, and post workout recovery.
29:05 All hormones are at their peak between 8 and 10 am.
29:45 Blood/serum testing is the most accurate.
32:30 Follicle-stimulating hormone FSH helps the egg to mature and stimulates the release of estrogen
    and progesterone.
34:15 We are starting to see late perimenopause and menopause levels of FSH in young women.
34:40 Optimal estradiol is between 70 to 150.
35:00 The follicular phase starts on day one of bleeding and luteal starts with ovulation.
37:15 Body temperature and cervical fluid are effective ways to determine if you are ovulating.
    42:00 Signs of low progesterone
    46:50 Bioidentical oral progesterone
50:00 Helps with sleep: valerian root, CBD, magnesium, GABA, and L-theanine (am and pm).
53:30 Growth hormone peptides can help you sleep through the night.
58:45 Oxytocin nasal spray is neuroprotective and can help with stress management and resilience,
    anxiety, and depression.
59:50 Women should consume 30 to 40 grams of protein at least 3 to 4 times per day, with a minimum
    of 120 grams/day.

43:27 I think this was a missed opportunity to talk about how we don’t teach adolescent girls how to handle puberty and the influx of hormones. It would be more difficult for these girls to fall to societal pressure if their hormones didn’t make them feel like strangers in their own bodies

65yo. Perimenopause in early 40s. At 14 I was put onto birth control pill for cystic acne (periods started at 11) From the time I started back on compounded DHEA (50mg to 100mg) just over a year ago I have my libido back, I lost fat (at least 12kg) and gained muscle with gym work (weightlifting every second day 45 minutes). I do get the odd pimple, but have started acupuncture for facial skin.

I was put on a contraception pill at the age of 19 for no reason whatsoever. I didn’t know any better and a random doctor just promoted it to me as a beauty pill and that it would improve my hair, nails and skin. I didn’t need contraception, they kept encouraging me taking the “beauty pill” because that’s literally the best think I could do as a young woman apparently. I was on the pill for 6 years. It’s ruined my health, 2 decades later I’m still suffering the side effects such as sore joints, body acne and messed up hormones. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever done to myself. Now decades later I’m finding that the pill that they put me on encouraging to take it for entire life unless I wanted to have a child - Diane35- was actually never approved as a long term contraceptive pill and was only meant to be used as a short course of treatment 🤦‍♀️ nobody has ever told me that, they kept renewing prescriptions telling me I had to take it. Nobody has ever warned me of side effects and when my side effects became really prominent they never connected it to the pill claiming “I was born this way”.. you cannot trust conventional doctors.

Women please understand, estrogen is not “ the female” hormone!! It is a shock hormone in both women and men, a stress hormone. It is used by the women’s body to change the environment of the uterus, in order to bring in changes to repair the tissue to ready for the next ovulation. Progesterone is the women’s hormone of life, in the second half of your cycle, progesterone increase to repair tissue and to rid of the estrogen. In pregnancy progesterone increase from 20mgs/day to over 500mgs/day. Progesterone is the hormone of life, in both men and women.

    • @dr.elenazinkov7362
      @dr.elenazinkov7362 3 місяці тому +11

Estrogen does a lot more than change the lining of the uterus. It affects our brain, cardiovascular system, and musculoskeletal system. Low estrogen in women especially in post menopause is one of the drivers of Alzheimer’s like symptoms. Similarly, progesterone and other hormones for that matter, do more than just determine our physical characteristics or reproductive function. They have systemic effects and implications.

    • @cheesecakesmellsgood

I heard Menopause Barbie call it this way - testosterone is the father, estrogen is the mother, and progesterone is the baby hormone. Test makes you attracted to men, estrogen keeps you attractive TO men (elasticity of skin, organ health, vaginal lubrication, arousal), progesterone is the cushion for the baby (calm mental health, good sleep cycle so the baby is in good environment to grow and in case of no baby, it sheds).

    • @aj-pf5yt
      @aj-pf5yt Місяць тому

@@dr.elenazinkov7362 I think you may have been told a lot about Estrogen, that is misguided because pharma has been selling it in the form of birth control, and they have captured the medical journals and the medical system.
When it becomes a problem, especially in women, is when it is elevated and makes its way into tissue, where it cannot be measured in the blood. As in PCOS, breast and uterine cancers, also resulting in blood clots and heart failure. Estrogen in the the pill, of course ends in infertility. How can infertility represent, in any way, good health?
Estrogen is the beginning of a repair process, both in men and women, but if not cleared quickly by a compromise liver, a cascade of health issues begin.

    • @aj-pf5yt
      @aj-pf5yt Місяць тому +1

@@cheesecakesmellsgood I respectfully disagree. Look up the hormone pathways for both men and women, you will notice that in each, cholesterol is the raw material for the conversion to two life bringing hormones, progesterone and pregnenolone, these all other hormones follow.
In pregnancy, pregnenolone increases from 20mgs/day to over 500mgs/day by the end of pregnancy. This is a huge increase! Everything in the bloodstream that is available to the mother is available to the developing child. There are huge changes in the mother as well as the baby, supported by the “women’s hormone” progesterone( ie protestation).
General health is improved , when an optimal metabolism results in more conversion of cholesterol to these live bring hormones.
Estrogen is needed to begin a repair process, in all injuries, both men and women. When it is elevated chronically, and not cleared by a compromised liver, it is involved in most diseases.
Unfortunately, we have all been endocrinated into thinking, it’s a benefit. A real shame.
      All the best.

Big question : is there a tie in between insulin resistance and menstrual cramps, and any research toward minimizing severe cramps? Literally from my first menstrual period I had severe cramping accompanied by intractable vomiting. The reason I went on oral contraceptives specifically and only for this at 16, was not sexually active till 20. This plagued me throughout my life even after having three children, and only ended with a hysterectomy at 47. This is a very real life limiting problem for many women. If there is a treatment out there that offered any hope, I tried it.

Is breastfeeding hormonal suppression a more protective mechanism for ovaries future use, or is all dormancy possibly detrimental? I do recommend that women get a hormone baseline and nutrient baseline at least 6 months postpartum. There is a certain level of suppression, not to the same extent as birth control, and by testing your hormone levels you may see how low they are and how it is impacting your quality of life. There are things you can do to support reproductive health while breastfeeding.

It’s either bacterial/fungal infection or poor diet. In many cases, men are the ones who are actually infect their partners. Vaginal flora is very sensitive to bacteria/fungal changes. For instance, candida type of fungus is not a problem for a man and you don’t even know you have it, but for a girl it can become a huge issue and cause a lot of discomfort including bad odour. I’d say you should do a few swabs on yourself first. Especially if you think every girl smells, that may mean you are the one who have the problem but you can only smell it when the bacteria mix with the girls bacteria. Alternatively lol, you were just picking dirty chics 😂

@@user-hn9fr7mn3x I guess a "vegan" should have been been an automatic red flag 🙈 yeah, no, definitely poor hygiene. I have a pretty strong sense of smell, people would refer to it as "sensitive", but in my opinion, It's just normal and what it should be. So many people have issues with their bodies and they have no clue. the same applies to vaginas. Ladies have no idea they have problems and that any bad smell is not OK, the absolute majority are extremely uneducated when it comes to whats normal and whats not.. even basic genitals hygiene is a rocket science for many. I smell really bad things at a gym (private parts wise, not just sweat) on regular basis, it's terrible. Vagina shouldn't smell like anything bad, occasionally it's ok to have a little stronger or "different" smell due to some specific foods/supplements, but generally, it should have a natural "acidic" kinda smell that shouldn't seem to be fetid. while it's true that vaginas are sort of "self cleansing", this applies to the inside, the actual vagina part of the genitalia. the external genital area, however, known as the vulva, can be washed with mild soap and water as part of regular hygiene practices. This helps to keep the area clean and free from any external debris, sweating, or odor-causing bacteria etc.
You gotta understand, these days, not only the fact that most people eat total crap allowing for bad pathogens (bacteria/fungus) to thrive in dark moist places, but also we expose these parts to synthetic underwear that doesn't absorb the moisture and doesn't "breath", we wear synthetic pads/liners (and most girls don't change it in time, it's only meant to stay in there for a few hours max), + period bleeding discharges etc + summer/hot weather etc + synthetic pants etc - all of that creates conditions for bad bacteria to overgrow and make it smell really bad. then we go to a gynecologist and they don't ever test anything and just tell us you're fine. SO no wonder many have this problem and have no idea. then some tiktoker tells girls it's fine, don't use soap, and there they go 🙈

Maybe thats her, she is sweaty or she could wash around it but as other have stated, there could be a bacterial (like bacterial vaginosis) or fungal issue (like a yeast infection), maybe some sort of urinary tract infection. Im sure it could also be affected by peoples diet and or hormones as well.

It's such a shame that smart women like this Dr distort their face using terrible lip fillers. I can't take her seriously looking at the upper lip.

All estrogens are converted from testosterone.
Also, hormonal birth control is not all the same. If you are going into menopause, transdermal birth control can absolutely make your life better and even out crazy perimenopause symptoms. If you understand what is going on, you can avoid a lot of the craziness with the hormones fluctuating a lot. The idea that soy and phytoestrogens work is laughable. They are about 1000x weaker than endogenous estrogen and rarely will ever couple with estrogen receptors.
Lack of hormones is fixed by providing the missing hormones. Don't think otherwise. The only time the medical profession will tell you that you can use X instead of a missimg hormone is only for estrogen, progesterone, testosterone for women. If you are missing thyroid hormone, they give you thyroid hormone. Ditto insulin. Sex hormones for women however are not treated as essential. Menopause can be disabling. The 25% who are lucky and have intracrine systems that make sufficient estrogen at the tissue level should not be setting the rules for the rest of us ie 75%. Only 10% of women even treat their symptoms.

Thank you for your comment. I have been unable to find any research on whether topical estriol estradiol and progesterone down, regulate your bodies, natural production as you know when men take testosterone their natural production stops. ❤

Hasn't (post menopausal) HRT been implicated as a major cancer driver recently? Genuinely asking.

None of the professionals seem to know the answer as to whether or not topical estriol or estradiol stops natural production, as is the case with testosterone, supplementation in males

And you, sweetheart, need to see a therapist, as well - (for obvious reasons)
Btw, are you offensive like this towards others IRL?? (i doubt it, bc here you are with your nasty comments hiding anonymously behind your weaponized keyboard). I doubt that you are brave enough to be this offensive toward someone you are face-to-face with.
Typical cowardly behavior on SM from jealous, bitter, people who cannot hide their hostility, or even want to try to...
