Thank you for this video. I really need to be better about sunscreen. My CVS carries the Milani one and I have a coupon! I will have to pick up this week. I will see if I can find the Elf one in a local store. You are wise beyond your years for being so good with sun care and skin care at a young age. You will thank yourself one day for that.
Found it amusing that I got a Bondi Sands sunscreen ad on this video 😆 I’ve never heard of that brand before, but it’s apparently sold at Walgreens and CVS. So it’s now on my wishlist as well as some of the products you mentioned! ☺️
Infinite thanks for these spf reviews! 💓 Some recommendations if you’re looking to try more: -Jack black Suncreen spf 45 -Black girl sunscreen spf 30 & spf 50 (kids version) -Kroger Sunscreen invisible gel spf 40 (a dupe for the unseen from goop, I’m unsure of the Cruelty-Free status of Kroger though)
Garnier going cruelty free is everything! I finally found body sunscreens I actually like that are lightweight and not sticky! The elf and milani sunscreen look really nice and not too shiny.. I'm not a fan of spf that's too emollient.. there are some good combination sunscreens out there but that one has a higher percentage of zinc than I've seen in most combo spf.. that's probably why it looks like a mineral sunscreen
I was looking forward to this! The only one of these that I’ve tried is the Milani, and I really like it and was hoping it would rank high in this video. Now I’m excited to check out the elf! I also am really curious about the Garnier one, now, too.
Thank you for sharing tips on application too, like showing how much to apply or explaining sunscreen should be the last step - I have no idea what order skincare items are supposed to go on!
Such an in-depth review!! I'm currently using the Paula's Choice Clear SPF and love it. I find it great to reapply during the day (haven't tried on top of makeup) using a sponge since I find it balls up on my dry skin. I wish the elf SPF came in a bottle instead of a jar so it's more sanitary and I'm worried that it may degrade the SPF ingredients if it's exposed to light. I'd also wish it was fragrance-free. Will definitely keep an eye out for the Garnier SPF though! Hope it comes to Canada soon!
Yes!! In general chemical sunscreens are more flattering to me than mineral since there's no white cast. It seems like it's much harder for brands to formulate a cosmetically elegant mineral sunscreen.
I noticed with these chemical sunscreen you didnt put it all around your eyes like you did with the mineral roundup? Is there a reason....do the mineral ones not burn your eyes like the chemical sunscreen? Just curious 🤔
That’s a weird thing to say 🤣 I’ve never in my life heard about that. As someone who is very acne prone, I am always looking for a higher SPF at least SPF 50 and I look at ingredients because I have a list of triggers that break me out, so I avoid those
Loved this video (and your cat), Sarah! I have absolutely enjoyed and have been recommending to everyone the Make P:rem UV Defense Me Sun Fluid! It's Korean, cruelty-free, inexpensive ($38/6.76oz), SPF 50 physical + chemical, fragrance-free sunscreen with zero white cast. It's like a serum moisturizer that leaves a very non-sticky, natural finish and it comes in a giant bottle!
I'm not a fan of the Unseen Sunscreen, either. I feel like it sits on my skin, and I don't like the overly silicone feel. I bought a sample set of 4 Supergoop sunscreens, so maybe I'll like one of the other ones. I definitely plan on trying the e.l.f. one, too!
Yeah agreed!! I can see why people like it but it’s not my fave. I like a lot of the supergoop products I’ve tried but I always seem to find cheaper options I like even better!
yes! i always go in with a mineral sunscreen around the eyes. chemical sunscreens burn my eyes so that's why you didn't see me applying them to the eye area.
I loved the elf holy hydration face cream but I was using it at a time that I was breaking out a lot and later realized that elf cream was making it worse bc after I finished off the container, my acne improved. It's v sad bc the texture of the holy hydration is so nice
They all burn my eyes too! When I apply them I keep it away from my eye area and then apply a mineral sunscreen around the eyes. No eye burning that way!
Wow- diatomaceous earth in the supergoop is so weird. It’s sold at garden section for control of pests- it is harvested from a natural source but kills the bad bugs but also the good ones like earthworms and other beneficials.
so strange! i can't imagine it would cause harm in the small amount they must put in the sunscreen, but it does seem like an odd ingredient for skincare.
You are an angel for testing all these sunscreens and giving such thorough reviews! Thank you!
I truly enjoy it so much and I’m happy to do it!! Thank you for watching! ♥️

I've been eyeing the milani one so im so glad that you enjoy it! i might pick it up once i finish my current one
It’s amazing!! I wish they’d sell it in a value size tho!
I really appreciate you trying on the sunscreen while giving the review!
Thanks for testing all of these! And love the cat cameo.

Too funny!!
Thank you for your review of the Milani sunscreen! Are you still using/enjoying it?
Girl, don’t forget your eyelids and get yourself to a dermatologist for your skin issues. Thank you for helping us with these videos!❤❤❤❤
So helpful!!! I’m going to the drugstore this week to pick up a new spf. I’ll be keeping your recommendations in mind!
Thank you so much for this comprehensive line up. Impressed by the options out there.
There are a lot of great options these days! I feel like sunscreens have improved a lot over the last couple of years!
Infinite thanks for these spf reviews! 💓

Ooh! Which body sunscreens have you been liking??
@@SarahRoseBeauty Garnier ombrelle sport endurance SPF 50, it almost feels watery when you apply it!

Bee with the elf demo was the CUTEST!
😂
Super helpful reviews! And you look stunning with blue eyeliner! 💕
Thank you so much!!

The garnier is an amazing fragrance free option!!
Amazing video! So much effort went in. Thank you so much
Thank you, Emma!!
Thank you so much. It has been so difficult to find a facial sunscreen that does not smell like sunscreen. I bought the e.l.f one and I love it too!
Your little kitty is so cute and thank you so much for the recommendations on sunscreen.💕💕
hehe thanks for watching!!
Hi Sarah, this is another fab sunscreen review! What base are you wearing? It looks great.
Thanks Lisa! It was the Pacifica Alight foundation 😊
Yay so excited to hear Garnier went cruelty free😁
Best news of the year!!!
The Milani sunscreen took me by surprise too! Definitely a new favorite 💗
So underrated!!
Thank you for this video, Sarah! Love this series! :)
Can't wait to grab the drugstore sunscreens as soon as my sunscreen stash depletes. 😂
I had been tempted to get the Milani one as I top up, definitely will now!
It’s great!!
you might love the black girl sunscreen kids - it’s $10 for 3ozs, water resistant, fragrance free, and it’s a black owned brand !!!
I've heard great things about that brand!!
So interesting how you generally liked these better than the mineral ones! Does it usually work out that way?
Yes!! In general chemical sunscreens are more flattering to me than mineral since there's no white cast. It seems like it's much harder for brands to formulate a cosmetically elegant mineral sunscreen.
Paula’s Choice Youth Extending sunscreen is my absolute favorite 🤍
Love your sunscreen review videos ❤
thank you so much!
I’m looking for a spf I tried the unseen one and I have combo oily and broke down my makeup so I returned it
ooh! the milani one might work better for you!!
I use Malani SPF BFF. MY favorite.
I noticed with these chemical sunscreen you didnt put it all around your eyes like you did with the mineral roundup? Is there a reason....do the mineral ones not burn your eyes like the chemical sunscreen? Just curious 🤔
Chemical sunscreens burn my eyes! So I always go in with a mineral sunscreen around the eyes, just didn’t show that in the demos here.
@@SarahRoseBeauty thanx, that makes good sense!
Great video! Im using the banila and co, but Im looking for something better and also reef safe.

STONED VIBES PALETTE AT TJ MAXX. Run, Sarah Rose!!!
Ooh! Thanks for the heads up!!
I would love to know maybe your top 3 or so between mineral and chemical
I am planning on filming a top 5 soon!!
How do you apply sunscreen after make-up? I'm looking for a way to apply it after make-up for some day
SPF setting spray! SPF powders are another option
Does the elf one sting the eyes as well?

Does the CLEAR Paula's choice SPF 30+ sting the eyes? Please let me know!!!
All chemical sunscreens sting my eyes so I keep them away from the eye area and use a mineral SPF for the eyes!
Thank you for trying these! I’m trying to find a cheaper option for my husband, who only wants to wear expensive Asian brands! 🤓
Ooh! Hopefully one of these will work!!
Try the Make p:rem UV Defense Me sun fluid!
So helpful!💕

Does the Milani SPF have a similar consistency/wear to the old krave sunscreen?
Yes, they are quite similar actually!!
@@SarahRoseBeauty awesome thank u!
I have Milani it’s awesome
I am just curious if you use something else on your eyes. I didn’t see you applying any sunscreen to the eye area.
~Christina
yes! i always go in with a mineral sunscreen around the eyes. chemical sunscreens burn my eyes so that's why you didn't see me applying them to the eye area.
What finish did the Paula’s Choice sunscreen have?
Very natural :) not super matte or glowy. It can get a little shiny by the end of the day though.

oh darn!! :(
Does supergoop useen work like primer?
Yes! It works like a smoothing/pore-blurring primer :)

My issue with chemical sunscreens is that they burn my eyes so bad. Anyone know of budget ones that don't do that?
They all burn my eyes too! When I apply them I keep it away from my eye area and then apply a mineral sunscreen around the eyes. No eye burning that way!
bondi sands spf 50 it’s cruelty free too

I also see it used in some breweries for filtering!
You can take it as a supplement too, supposedly has many benefits
