Friend, I say life is too short to spend 5 weeks doing something that doesn’t make you happy. I think you are just holding onto what is familiar and comfortable (which is understandable). Allow yourself to fully immerse in your new role as an NP. The more time you spend in the role, the more comfortable and confident you will become. ❤🥰
6 weeks will go by fast. So I say finish it. Don’t leave money on the table. Then after run. It’s jealousy. This too shall pass Loving the healthy choices.
You got this Michelle! 6 weeks will be here in no time. Prayers as you endure this transition into your full time role as FNP. You’re amazing and God continues to walk with you!
Hey Michelle, pray about it and you’ll know when you know; what you should do. It’s only 6 weeks left so you can finish it but if you are unhappy then quit. Life is too short to be unhappy. ❤ All the best for your work week! ❤❤
Michele, girl you speak my language! ❤I was taught in nursing school that mental health medication was only meant to be used in conjunction with behaviour management therapy or lifestyle changes for the best outcome. It was mainly meant to manage symptoms in order to help get you to a point where you can make changes, then hopefully wean you off. However, healthcare has become such a commercial medium, everybody wants to profit excessively off of people’s unfortunate health circumstances, so it’s always meds, meds, meds. And they always start with the worse ones first. If they know what works, why not just give that to the people (We know why).
She may be able to swing it so far, but what happens when she accepts an assignment and it all goes wrong. You rarely have control of how your shift will go, and this is why nurses need room to manoeuvre. It goes without saying, but how horrible would it be if she is maxed out, admitting a new unstable patient, and one or two of her other patients start to crash? This is ICU, it gets hairy. They did this to me years ago when I was newly off orientation, and had a new patient who kept crashing. I had to run a code while my other 2 patients were left unattended. It’s not great to break a contract, but sometimes we are left with few options. It’s either take the risk of being DNR or stick it out and pray someone doesn’t die on your watch ( which the facility will throw you under the bus for, not to mention the trauma a new family has to undergo). It’s sad that we are often placed in these situations. In the end it will have to be her choice.
Girl I’m be real!!!!!! I knew this was coming as soon as you got the NP job!!!! Your 😂 thought process as NP is the typical NP way!!!! It’s the nurse in you that see healthcare in a different glass!!!! ❤❤❤❤ whatever you do girl just like you always say keep God close 🩷🤎🤎🤎
Hey Michele! I usually don’t comment but I must say I enjoy your content, I am an RN as well, congratulations on becoming an FNP as far as the hospital goes when you know you know!
Michelle, I agree with you 100% concerning diagnosing and prescribing medication when it’s not truly needed. We need more practitioners to think the way you think. I’m a coder and when I see the amount of medication some of these patients are on, its ridiculous. I’m 59 and only take vitamins and drink my home made juices. And when I go to the doctor and they ask what medications I’m on and say nothing, they be in a state of shock. As far as the hospital job goes and you quitting, ( I dislike that word…quit) but, I would say if it’s causing you unnecessary stress in your body like you just spoke about then exit stage left! Be out…deuces ✌🏾But if not try and finish the contract as best you could. One last thing be mindful when shopping and leaving your purse unattended, everybody can’t be trusted these days!!! I caught a lady hand in my bag one time and it wasn’t left unattended. It was on my shoulder, just all of a sudden it became real busy around me, come to find out it was a pick pocket ring trying to get me, but god alerted me to my surroundings in the knick of time. I suddenly look down and I see this women hand in my bag. So please be careful!!!
Hi Michele, I hope you make the best decision for YOU! I have been watching your videos for the past few months. I see that you’re strong minded and a fighter who goes for what she wants. Give it to God and let him lead you in the right direction.
Totally agree with your views on depression. I absolutely understand mental health having gone through so much myself from a young age, however, I believe lifestyle, diet, health and relationships need to be addressed before doctors consider medication!
Hello. I have been a silent follower for a while. First off, congratulations on becoming an NP! I just passed my boards about 3 weeks ago, so I am a newbie as well! I enjoyed hearing/seeing you speak on taking a more holistic approach in your practice. I have been a hospice nurse for over ten years, and I've always had this same approach. I definitely plan to continue using that approach, but I am also keeping in mind that not all practices/employers will be on board with that. As we know, pharmaceutical sales in the medical field is huge. So, it is good to know that your employer will back you up on using a holistic approach versus just immediately prescribing medications. I look forward to continuing to follow your NP journey, and wish you the best of luck!
Unpopular opinion and I totally agree with what you said about wholistic health. I often avoid this conversation because people be ready to jump on you. I am praying about starting FNP school and then when done I would like to add on Wellness NP or wholistic. Yeah, so glad you shared this!
Michele- while you were in Walmart looking at something back turned away from your bag and or was wide open!! Anyone could have just reached in and grab whatever!!! Be more alert of your surroundings!!!
Omg, I am so tired of Metformin. I have PCOS and my provider told me Metformin always works. I immediately requested a new VA provider 🤦🏾♀️ Lord help us.
Excited for your carnivore diet journey :) also seems like you are all about functional medicine - maybe look into that? You can even start your own practice as a nurse and health coach combining functional medicine and nutrition with your experience in healthcare.
What i experienced when God want you to move on to where he has planned for u, you will start disliking your comfort zone. Keep praying God will guide you he knows best
Hi Michelle, I'm an RN and in a similar situation as well, ready to leave my unit and move on to better things, everytime I go into work my fuse is so short and I get fusterated easily now. I needa make the move
Michele- while you were in Walmart looking at something back turned away from your bag and or was wide open!! Anyone could have just reached in and grab whatever!!! Be more alert of your surroundings!!! You as a nurse, should know NO ACOHOL is good for you!! NONE!!
Now here you go!! Neither is salt, but I guarantee you ingest it every day. If that grown woman who is a qualified NP wants to enjoy a nice glass of wine after a hard days work then please let her! So, please stop coming for her with misspelled words!

Big pharma has taken over sadly
Finish out the contract, you’ve made it this far! Use it as a learning experience. You’ve got this!!

I saw that too, but I wonder, is there was someone manning her camera who may have their eyes on her stuff?
Regardless, thieves are good distractors. They can distract both of them while stealing.
Ask me how I know! 🥺
