The cooling system has two bleed valves with threaded plugs, one on the top right of the radiator (plastic trim cover across the front needs to be removed for access), and another one at the heater core outlet by the firewall, behind and below the intake plenum box. Need good light to see it, but it is reachable. The first one takes 3/8" square, same as the drain plug, and the second one has a Phillips head. These should be used when refilling, according to the factory manual. I believe only the Tribeca model has these but not 6-cyl. Outbacks. Also, the thermostat should be installed with the bleeder hole pointing up (mentioning just because it's not captured in the video).
Bob The Electrician it’s not a “V” because that would mean the cylinder bank angle is less than 180 degrees. Horizontally opposed engines are not considered a V6. But an H6. I’ve worked on many. Some call em flat engines too. But definite not a “V”. And I love em. My father owned many a Volkswagen, myself a few Subaru’s.
Done well bud. Helped alot. I was looking on top of engine like a potato

@@forgottengraves H6 is a V6 with a cylinder angle of 180 degrees. Made popular by VW and Porsche.
