Two tracks that received their first airing during Above & Beyond’s sold out ABGT200 show in Amsterdam, the second Anjunabeats Volume 13 sampler revisits a pair of catalogue classics.
Adding a fresh spin on his favourite Above & Beyond record, the UK’s ilan Bluestone reworks an OceanLab favourite ‘On A Good Day’, frequently used as the closing singalong during the bands DJ sets.
Considered by many as one of the finest songs released on the label, Oliver Smith provides an update to his 2005 remix of ‘Amsterdam’ by Luminary, featuring vocals from Ashley Tomberlin.

Which one do you like better? The original S&P remix or this update? I honestly don't think this is as bad as what people say. Yes, I do agree that it's quite smothered when you listen to it with earphones. But it's not so bad here in a big room.

In the actual update, the breakdown is a bit different. Here they mixed the original S&P version into the break down (which I of course prefer 🖤)

I actually like this update a lot, though I understand exactly what you guys are saying about it being super messy in the breakdown. Yet I find myself going back to this video. I like the S&P mixed in with this version.
I think the update has its charm, I like it a lot (though not as much as the 2006 remix) and we can't say it is shit, because this is a very well Trance 2.0 production from Olie
They did more than just that. The anjunakitchen is ran by mad scientists. They reworked the transients and made the track much heavier on the low mid range section in the drop, to ensure the ride goes off to this legendary vocal mix.
