Tuba skinny is one of the most up together bands in the world. They're great ! Erica and the guitar player are great singers. I've been following them for years now and love everything they do.
Fan for 5 or 6 years and this is the first time I've seen her speak in a conversation.

She's a really great singer and writer. Her Sun album is fabulous. Seek it out if you can.
Why?why? why? Is Erika and the band not being interviewed on British mainstream television or radio. Or have I missed that? This lady gives such a great, honest and interesting commentary on both the bands and her story. She was so much more interesting and articulate than the many other artist we so often see. Her charm and professionalism throughout the interview was so admirable. I’ve only recently discovered Tuba Skinny. But for me the phrase, Better late than never! As just come true. Now I’m rapidly becoming a devoted fan.

Saw this interview earlier this year. AND, got to talk to her and other Tuba Skinny members on Sept 8, 2023, at a show they did in Three Oak Michigan, Acorn Theater, a smaller venue. It was 2 hours drive from my house in Michigan. the next day they played at a folk festival in Michigan about 2 hours or so away. I am a former school music teacher yet I was star struck lol. The feather in my cap was I made Shaye laugh outoud, the one person who got my dry sense of humor...I'm old enough to be their father except Craig the clarinet player. I was a trumpet player and singer, with piano and guitar skills as well as conducting. Erika was very nice to me, and Shaye being about 5ft 1inch, may be of shorter stature but to me as a musician and composer, is 10 feet tall. I let her know that. And yes I have Erika's Walk Around the Sun album. You can see how very gracious she is to her British Fans. She's that way with everyone. i wanted to get on the bus with them hahhaha.

Hm. Missed a great chance for a decent interview. One of Jamboree’s mainstays is one Ewan Bleach, the former clarinetist of Tuna Skinny. Therefore, he was former colleague of Erika’s. So, it would just be so brilliant if Erika can persuade Shay and company to visit London on their European sortie.
