Shaye is the heart of this band, and yet she tends to stay out of the spotlight, sharing it equally with the whole band. And then there's Erica. Oh my, what music.

Garry Kizer They’re lucky to have a venue to play at! Where I live, Montreal, deader than a door nail for jazz bands. Our so-called jazz fest is a joke. Hardly any jazz! Lots of everything else.
What’s so amazing is that their performances in royale st sound great too, I can attest. Must be the buildings close together.

Bob John Stika, I am a huge fan of her ❤️and the whole band. I am so glad they are, as of that date, still performing together. I hope they survive the crisis we are presently experiencing. My best to them and for all the happiness they have given to me even if it has just been via you tube. I send the same sentiments to all.

It’s nice what a title of a video is so far from 'clickbait''. Simply stating what many of us know, Erika is indeed a great blues singer who also happens to be surrounded by fantastic musicians. A touch of colour on a grey landscape, stay safe everyone.

Ich liebe diesen alten Mississippi- Sound. Das ist die Sprache Gottes. Tuba Skinny ist der Blues in meinem Herz. Die Band auf der Straße zu sehen, ist sicherlich ein Seelenheil. Ich bin ein alter Ostdeutscher aus Germany. Die Auftritte aller Bandmitglieder sind Kultur einer leider vergangenen Musikepoche, die wie zu sehen, niemals die Welt verlassen wird.

This is a great band and the singer is just mesmerizing this woman oozes sensuality and the music just flows right through her body and she beats on that drum and sings her songs

Kenny B Very important bridge between rock and blues (and other music genres afterwards) - when I started my music expedition after my narrow-minded rock period :) - was Jimi Hendrix actually, and his compilation album Blues. Than I´ve discovered Johnny Winter, Allman Brothers, Canned Heat (I love that wonderful diversity inside this band, too), Rory Gallagher and his live-performances :D...back to Cream, E.C. and with him R.L.Johnson of course, than back again to Stones :))) and so on... I thank them all for knowledge, that it doesn´t matter the genre of music in fact, but the quality of it and the fervour of musicians. I really-really thank them all, TS including, for widening my passion and pleasure of good music :)
Being home during the stay home quarantine orders. Surfing UA-cam and this band has been my greatest discovery. Amazing and talented.
Skinny gets better with every song. For several years I was a jazz dummer and I loved ro play tradional jazz. This band re-creates the old days...keep up the great work.

I have yet to see and listen to a UA-cam video of Tuba Skinny that I didn’t like. This is a great band, and I must say they have gotten better over the years. I have compared the early videos to the current ones, and can tell a difference. However, the early ones are still great. Maybe one day I’ll get to see them live, but I must hurry because I am in my 8th decade.
I love Tuba Skinny music and I would love to see Spoon Lady a performance with them

This band are very authentic and would have been a big hit in the era that this music was originally from, except they are probably better musicians than the majority of the ragtime bands were in those days
