Episode 130: The BEST FREE Thing to do in Benson, AZ//The Forever Home Donkey Rescue and Sanctuary

- In this episode we take a day out of our busy schedule and visit the Forever Home Donkey Rescue and Sanctuary in Benson, Arizona. The owners of the sanctuary provided a private, guided tour and included all the backstories of every donkey in their care. Home to 20 donkeys of various ages and sizes, this interactive experience offers the opportunity to enter the donkeys' pens and pet them, and to feed them their favorite treat - animal crackers!
The sanctuary is free to visit, and the lovely couple that operates the sanctuary foot the bills for all the food, veterinary and farrier care that the animals require. They have established themselves as a non-profit organization, and if you're interested in donating to help them care for these animals you can do so either through the donate button on their website at:

The couple next to us had a beautiful rig and they said they barely use it. We got a few good drone shots of all the rigs there in Quartzsite. Looking forward to putting those videos together.

I think the best part of the tour was that they shared every donkey's story. All different but all interesting, and the animals are so sweet!

Every time the owner mentioned a donkey available for adoption, Bubba would look at me and tell me no lol. We'll try the star show again next time we pass through.
