You'll find RV, van and boat life content here, as we feel inspired to share - sometimes topical, sometimes travelogues, sometimes just hanging out.

It's pronounced "Sa-noy'-ta". As a snowbird Benson resident I really appreciate this very good video. And Mi Casa is my absolutely favorite restaurant.

I used to live in benson (but Tucson side).. back in 86-89. Attended grace chapel. Most times stopping at the Tiger Mart. I saw kartchner caverns when I was back in 2012. Pretty cool! My family owned mammoth cave and Cumberland Caverns(Tennessee)

One of the best things about traveling around the country in an rv - meeting with friends in different places along the way. Safe travels, until next time!

Great sites in AZ and glad you pointed them out. Most are unaware of so many from a base like Benson.

We drove through Benson on our way from Tucson to Bisbee. Saw the SKP park and stopped in for a drive-through tour. It was neat to see Zephyr parked at your casita. You’ve given us lots more to explore in the area that we weren’t aware of. 😃👍

It was so thrilling to see you both at Mi Casa. I agree that Mi Casa is THE best restaurant in Benson. Thanks for all the information you have provided over the years.

lived in Sierra Vista 1962 to Jan 1966, it was 3500 pop. Bisbee was a miner town and playing them in football was playing the rough kids. One day I rode my 3 speed english bicycle from Sierra Vista to Bisbee, about 25 miles. Naco was about 400 people with 100 prostitutes. $5. I never partook, (I was 14) Naco was like 1890 with dirt roads, a dingy yellow light for the whole bar.... There was One bar was lit up brightly and painted a gaudy red/white. There were posts to tie your horse to......Tombstone was all dirt in 1962. I recall a shotgun in a window with 12-14" barrels and holes about 1 1/8" diameter! . In 1987 I went there and the streets were paved. 😮. The "Here Lies Lester Moore...." tombstone always looks fresh.

Thanks for sharing places to explore in that area. I love how you take mini trips in your van - best of both worlds! We have a class A as well as a Travato too, but we leave our T at home for the winter when we head south in our class A. I think we need to revisit that practice and bring the T along with us next time. I’ve thought many times how great it would be to have it to take side trips in AZ.

It really has worked out to be a great combination for us.. the bus and boat serve as 'home bases' to explore from.

The only thing I know about Benson AZ is the song about the place in John Carpenter's first movie, Dark Star. The song, "Benson Arizona" is the only Country & Western Science Fiction song that I know of! From the movie:

Boring Benson! Asian Bistro is gone. Good hiking around Benson if you can find interested people. I won't mention my secret hiking places. Bisbee is great!
