Great video, I found a few decks I haven't thought to try like the rising card deck. Don't underestimate these decks, like the Mirage, for example. I created a multi layered miracle with that beauty that had a whole room full of people completely stunned and one lucky volunteer convinced he had been hypnotized.
personally i have an invisible deck, but i like to use a standard one, have the specator flip one (free choice) then call the two decks "psycically linked" and show the one they flipped to be flipped in the other deck.
The downsides for the Krylon spray: toxic fumes and you have to be outside the house in good weather. Roughing Sticks are not toxic and you can use them indoors. I recommend the Harry Robson Roughing Sticks and Penguin’s new Grip Stick.
Hello, Doug. So I just acquired a card trick called "Andy changes colors." The set of cards is very VERY similar to the Sympathetic Card trick set. Only difference is, it has 7 3 of diamonds cards and 3 jack of club. I have written a new patter for it so I'm good there. I'm just lost in he setup. Do you have a tutorial for the Sympathetic Card trick anywhere?? It woul be the same for my set. The trick came with a QR code to scan for the explanation, but it is only in Chinese. Can you help this disabled stroke-brained guy out??
Chris Ramsey UA-cam channel shows that book and card illusion trick on that cool cover drawing ps I do that card illusion trick also i learn in 1970s 1980s days
Never Heard of a Deck of card's cheek to cheek but Copperfield says that line for rising card out of a drawing Deck of card's this is samese twins dirty dancing ps to music song group information society pure energy song
Doug Henning did mental photography on Jonny Carson TV talk show series episodes and feather flume thru coin and Jonny Carson illusionist magician did his sleight of hand on Doug Henning with two pieaces of a cigarette going from hand to other hand
when u did the stripper deck..... and u cut the deck n half... 26 and 26 having the red aces on the black side and the black in the red side etc.... u were saying 26 and 26... and for some reason I kept seeing the jokers and thinking.... it would be 27 and 27 LMAO. anyway... I love how some people write off stripper decks and svengali decks etc.... it's all about what you do with them. like what you were showing with the decks is a great example of what I mean. funny story, back in 2004/2005. I competed in the the IBM close-up competition. and I won 1st place.....what I find funny is 75% of my act was card work..... with a stripper deck. which I low-key thought was hilarious. some of the effects didn't need a stripper, but I utilized it at certain moments in the act and I believe I caught a lot of people off guard haha.... it just proved that there is a lot more we can do with these decks than the generic things we think of when we see these decks... so I am absolutely on board with you on this video..... love it. and btw.... even though I know the mental photography deck and how it works. it still fools me to see it performed.
A beginner really can't put any of these decks to good use without months of card handling practice. Maybe even a year or two. I hate these videos because it makes a person think they can just go out and start doing all of this stuff. Truth is its extremely difficult, cards will be falling all over, fumbling. People need to know its tedious and aggravating practice to be able to perform those card tricks well without making a fool out of yourself.
@@noswad75 hey man. I just want to say that my introduction to magic was a Svengali and stripper deck I got from a dollar store many years ago. I would reverse engineer tricks I saw or came up with ideas. When I was good enough, I started performing for people. I even did a magic show back in middle school. I think that giving people the opportunity to see what is possible is great. Card technique and gimmicked decks can be learned in parallel.

could we know which card is coming up when using mental photography deck?
Not to my knowledge, but I imagine such a deck could be constructed, and it would probably be worth doing so!

Why would anyone use a pop eyed popper instead of a mirage deck?
Just to do a force … it’s less versatile, but it does what it does perfectly
