    Anybody who is discouraged from doing something or believe they are topped out at their profession, watch Jason's card mechanics... He is a master class of persistence and training over and over and over. He is an inspiration. He is the one guy that doesn't do "Tricks" or illusions... It is unwavering skill. At this point I doubt Jason would even touch gimmick decks, I doubt he would ever want that to tarnish his skill

    • @dim5305
      @dim5305 4 місяці тому

      Ey, a small nuance. Don't trust his comment section, he deletes a lot of comments and leave the ones failing to find the trick or the ones with expressions of amaze.
      I remember he dare us in Tiktok to reveal one of his tricks and he ended blocking my 2 accounts just because I hit the solution

    • @NowhereMan7
      @NowhereMan7 4 місяці тому

      @@dim5305 Card magicians dont care if people know and can explain how its done. As he said in this interview it take years or decades to master the tricks, so knowing how its done can make it even more amazing. And a typical 30 second reel will contain many tricks all pieced together, not just one "solution".
      To properly explain how a trick is done you'd need pages of text, or show it in video format, which a lot of people do. You can just look up how tricks are done. No magician is going to pretend what they are dong is real magic by deleting comments. Its way more impressive when you understand how hard these tricks are to execute.
      I know he puts the pin of shame on comments that are so confidently wrong in their guess. Id have to see the trick and the comments you made to made to try to figure out why he blocked you, if that happened.

    If you pause or go 0.25x speed at 47:21 you can spot the K and 10 of spades as he spreads them with his finger, but there's no 9 of hearts to be seen anywhere. That's because the 9 of hearts was cut to the top... his blue deck was entirely memorized. He knew exactly which cards were at which positions. 27 cards down is the 9 of hearts. All of the "shuffling" was false shuffling. So he controlled the 9H to the top or near the top (which he made sure to cover when spreading) and then culled all the in between cards as he riffled down until the victim said stop. POOF, the 9H now appears to be between the KS and 10S.

      @@paulhamj6175 I'm not saying @onehotseat is right or wrong about his theory. But you seem to misunderstand him. Hes saying if Jason memorized every card in the blue deck he would instantly know pos 27 equals 9 of hearts. If another number was named he would instantly know what card was a that posion. He then puts away the blue deck and now knows to find the heart of 9 in the other deck and force that card when he picks a card. I'm not sure its done that way but there would be no "chance" involved if he uses that method "just" an insane memory and sick slight of hand!

    A good interview, but man that demo section sucked. If a magician is showing a trick, you don't cut away to show your own mug, not even for a split second. The video quality was awful too. Jason could have been doing anything he wanted and we'd never have been able to tell. The jerkiness and blurriness meant there were any number of controls he could have been doing and none would have been possible to see.

    This guy slept with my wife. I found out she was cheating and filed for divorce. Lost the kids, house, dog, job. Was allowed to keep my truck. Now I'm sleeping in my truck. I don't know how to get my life back in order.

    Why do you keep cutting to your face? In particular DURING a trick. Would have been fun to see the whole trick without it cutting back to your face.

    @Profoundly Pointless - a little ADVICE. Why are you going to have the world’s greatest card mechanic on your channel doing card tricks, to then proceed to cut to YOUR face over and over again WHILE he’s doing the trick? Please use some common sense next time and do better. Other than that great show

      He Carl. Thanks for checking out the video. It wasn’t by choice. We had to use a different recording program than usual and it automatically cuts back and forth at the source. There was no way around it.
