A very very... very well presented review. The reviewer knows what he wants to say ahead of time, does not get side-tracked, maintains a consistent flow of speaking, is clear and concise, is informative and friendly. 99.3% of all YT videos are somewhere between rubbish and ok. It is very rare to come across a presenter of this quality. As to the AD plugin itself. I've been using it for two years and I love it. Nevertheless, I decided to watch this video, on the basis that there was probably something I didn't know about it. I was right. The presenter told me (a veteran user of the product), something I didn't know. I can recommend AD2 to anyone. I love it. It does more than I ever wanted to do with drums, and indeed, it has actually expanded my creativity with drums, and continues to do so. My only criticism is that XLN Audio do not provide enough 'world drums'. They have many pop/rock kits. But I feel that once you've bought one rock/pop kit, you've got them all. You may be an aficionado of drum kits and feel differently. Finally, in the interest of honesty, I have to also state that I haven't used very many other drum plugs, and so you must take that into consideration when considering how valuable my recommendation is.
Hi is it possible to control the choke of the high hat with this plugin? By choke I mean the choke provided by how much hard you press on the hi hat pedal (which controls how open the hi hat will be)
G R E E T I N G S.......THANKS, for the finest review ever. Getting to the end, the drum kit I heard is my favorite tuning. Please how may I grab what you're using and this amazing tuning.
what would you say would be the 2 or 3 "runner ups" to test before deciding on which one to get?what are similar VSTs to this one that you would most recommend?
So all the fun of recording drums/finger drumming w/o the hassle of actually playing them? Ok, sure I'm trolling a bit by saying that. Of course I program drums as well play. Of course not everyone can play or record drums for lots of reasons. This looks great for those people. Maybe it just feels the sell here is "why bother cuz magic". Love your content, this one just felt a bit odd. To each his own. It does look like a really fun plugin.
I tried to play drums. I cannot hold the beat no matter how I try, up from the years of me playing piano in music school. Also, drums are costly, meaning that you'll have to shoehorn them into every single piece you make so to justify the expenses. Given that my style rarely uses drums, I'd better use drum machine, or even better, this plugin - luckily, I've sold my kit and never returning back to it.
I have to agree about this being the best review/demo/tut! Here's the 2nd part link ua-cam.com/video/lOWuSlLlf3k/v-deo.html if you're wondering where it is. I was.....
Hey Sky. That was actually a technical software error. For some reason with Screenflow's version update, they centre-panned both channels creating a mono export. We only caught it after the upload, and UA-cam won't let you correct this after publishing. PS: There are a lot of ways you could have said this without being insulting and condescending. We don't tolerate bad attitudes around here, so I'll leave you with this one warning to bring a more respectful vibe to future comments.

Nice a review of the review
Are you his mum?
I’ve been playing with the demo version but this video helped me see the full potential of this plugin. I’m getting it for sure
Nice on Nicholas. Hope you enjoy AD2. Cheers!
G R E E T I N G S........It's about 7:30 and from 13:30 right to the end. Amazing tuning.

Sure thing. I also like Superior Drummer, BFD 2 from FXPansion, and NI Studio Drummer or Drum Lab.
Earned a sub. Great work

I was so impressed by Merlin's 1st one that I couldn't wait to see part 2! So I figured I wasn't the only one. My pleasure. I hope there'll be more
Cool A full course on AD2 or Ableton? I have AD2 but not Ableton.
This plugin has always sounded terrible to me. Yet a lot of people love it. Must be my ears. They sound thin and fake to me.
Depends on mixing. I don't like its stock presets much.
Thanks for releasing a video with sound in it IN MONO in 2017. Wow....
