Ahh nice red mittens, my grandmother has a pair just like them 👀😁 Joking aside, there isn’t anything cool about being cool. I’m usually layered up head to toe in all sorts of random coloured items. Funny you noted the purple flanks on the pollack; I caught some coalies last week that had very iridescent, purple flanks. I’d never seen them so colourful. I’d guess maybe something they’re eating or perhaps some kind of breeding colour? Thanks again and hopefully you had good success in the comp.
Hello buddy really enjoyed the video that was a good walk but it's worth the effort what a lovely place we'll done on your fish. It was great to meet you at the European Open and have a good chat tight lines from John & Tina 👍🎣
Hi Levo, thanks very much, really appreciate that🙏 sorry about the delayed response, UA-cam seems to play up sometimes. Likewise, really enjoyed meeting and chatting with you and Tina and thanks again for your help and advice, really helpful and very much appreciated 🙏 tight lines for your upcoming sessions, all the best 👍🙋♂️
Brilliant vid David 👍🏻 the footage you do from making ya flask to finishing ya session and packing up is unreal , must take loads of fiddly stuff editing and working the drone .. nice to see a few Fish hit the metals too .. as always I appreciate ya effort doing these mate 👌🏻
Very enjoyable watch mate, I love Dunstanburgh Castle like you lots of happy memories. Believe it or not I hooked what I thought was the fish of a lifetime on a 20g sandeel spinner it fought like nothing I've ever experienced other anglers gathered round. I'd hooked and played in a bloody big seal, didn't know whether to laugh or cry lol, one look at each other and it dived big style I even got me spinner back. Well done on the Pollock and Coal fish lovely clean marked fish. tight lines
Cheers John very much appreciated mate🙏 ah man what a nightmare, I bet that was a sickener and a half! Hopefully there’s another out there, but with fins and gills🤞🤞
Thanks for the explanation. Never noticed the difference with the bottom jaw, always thought difference was the lateral line being straight on a coalie 👍🏼
Thanks Gary much appreciated 🙏 good to meet you too mate. Let’s hope today brings better fortune for everyone 🤞 haha I’ll make sure Gary knows who he needs to stick with 😂 tight lines 💪
Cracking content as usual mate, you got some quality shots there. it’s great to see you on the lures and the fish! do you have any videos planned with sir slippy limpets this year? Tight lines 🎣
Cheers mate very much appreciated 🙏 nothing if yet but there’s plenty of time, hopefully we’ll get out at some point 🤞 thanks as always for watching and tight lines 🙏🙋♂️
John from I.D tackle,? now there's a blast from the past Dave! Don't know if you remember little Ronnie Duke, who I think started off at Bagnall and Kirkwood, then moved to I.D. at Chilly Road, then I.D moved to Brinkburn Street. I'm sure Ronnie and John were partners! The last time I spoke to John must be 10-12 years ago when he suggested going to Tighnabruaich on the west coast of Scotland for some summer fishing. We took his advice and had a great time. Thanks for taking the effort to make another cracking vid, it was worth it, just for the gloves😁
Yep I remember Ronnie Kevin, and the other faces that were always in ID at that time, ahh the god old days….sounds like he put you onto the fish, great stuff💪 Thanks for tuning in and commenting, much appreciated 🙏
An enjoyable watch as always sir 👍 it's always great to get the first Pollock of the year on the lures 🎣 and of course a cpl of stinkies 😁 I had my first trip out last weekend with the lure rod, it was more to scope out a cpl of new marks and to clear the head but ended up with 9 Pollock with the best just under 4lb , its still early but think these marks will produce come summer 🎣 Regards Arnie
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Could you post a video or link to show how you tie your leader. There's a load out there, but I trust your advice. Cheers mate
@@paullowther8729 I’d say roughly a mile Paul from car to mark. Careful if you fish there for the first time, make sure it’s flat and dry as the swells can be dangerous and the rocks very slippy.
Great video plenty of fish 🐟 but a little bit frightening to fish a mark like that without a life jacket I know you know what you’re doing but one slip and I won’t be getting my Saturday morning video you be safe out there 👍🥸
Cheers Mick appreciate you tuning in and commenting. You’re right to be fair, I should probably have a PFD or something just in case👍 hope you’ve been out getting a few🤞👍
seekers don't flutter - they spin. You are asking for trouble not using a swivel say behind your lure clip. All that spinning ruins your braid and a snap off will occur when you don't expect it at some point.
Was great to finally meet you, tight lines
You too mate👍
Great video with species identification
@@paullowther8729 cheers Paul 🙏🙋♂️
Hi David you ok pal, cracking morning and a stunning spot for a session. Well done in the end. All the best from G.Y

Thanks Arnie appreciate that🙏 great stuff sounds like you’ve had a good start to the season💪
Not to bad 👍 not tricky marks to get on to but a bit of trek to them , always find the west a little quicker off the mark than the east 🎣
That 2nd lure did the trick.
Certainly did Audrey. Thanks as always for watching and commenting, much appreciated 🙏

Great video. Is that a good mark for this time of year (November? Tia
@@Jamescarr14 yeah you should get fish, but be very careful if there’s a sea running, it can be a dangerous mark. Good luck
