I used to love to watch this on BET back in the day. I remember watching Melvin Lindsay and Angela Stribbling. I remember them replacing Melvin with Harold McKoo who looked similar. I remember the sad memory of Angela making the announcement at Melvin had contracted the AIDS virus. She even broke down why talking, but managed to finish her sentence. When they finally showed what Melvin looked like it was sad. He had lost weight in his face and he had glasses on and a cap on as if he had lost his hair was well.
Pooh, I remember that as well. I was in college at the time. All I can recall now is that they used to host a show together and I remember not seeing him for a while. I remember Angela talking about him and breaking down.
I remember too!! Spring 1992 When they made the announcement on BET television Melvin contracted AIDS virus & he had left his tv duties at BET because declining health Angela Stribling was crying 😢& I couldn't believe how Melvin looked he got darker had lost weight and most his hair

I was the producer of Screen Scene from 1993 until it was canceled in 1997.
